So far so good…

Does what they say it will do, with no issues found as yet. Would be better though if you can change the settings of the remote camera from the viewer. Better use of the inbuilt iPhone camera would be an advantage especially in low light situations. What is shown as very dark in the app is quite well lit in the iPhone camera app.
After using this app for a few months, it is very buggy. It only captures footage when the camera is the active page in the app, but it keeps leaving this page because of IOS activity and a very annoying pop up asking you to rate the app. The only way around this I have found is to use automation to open the camera page at regular times during the day to ensure the camera is functioning. Also some files saved to the cloud become corrupted and you can not view them. The files are deleted from the phone and corrupted on the cloud. Would be a great idea to allow access to the files from within the files app in iOS, but you can only access them through the app itself.
The other annoying thing is that the feedback form in the app does not work. When you send a message to the developers to give them feedback it comes up with an error sending the message. Hence why I have given a lengthy review here. All in all a promising app that needs to become more active with bug fixes and performance improvements.
V3.37 has serious bugs. Sound is no longer recorded with the video. If you switch between cameras, then the video stops recording all together and an app restart is required. Turning off monitoring has no effect if the camera is opened.

Almost Perfect

My only complaint with AiCam is I wish there was a live audio video when viewing a device. We often use a craft cover with our dog, and often times we rely entirely on audio cues rather than visual.

Great app!

I was looking for an app to turn an unused iPad into a security camera for the peephole in my door. My landlord doesn’t allow video doorbells or any exterior cameras. I found that the iPad camera focuses quite well through the peephole.

I installed the app and tried the free version for a few days and it was exactly what I was looking for. So I upgraded to unlock all of the features. I love the simplicity of the app and I also love that it works seamlessly between my iPhone.

I reached out to Anh and I recommend 2 features (tap to focus and focus lock). In less than 2 weeks Anh implemented the changes and it made the app even better.

I highly recommend this app. It’s a great way to re-use older products, the app is easy to use, and Anh has been great with support and feature recommendations.

I look forward to continuing to use the app and recommending it to others.

Perfekt!

Nach längerer Suche und mit eher unzufriedenen anderen Apps bin ich jetzt mega glücklich, endlich diese App gefunden zu haben und würde sie definitiv weiterempfehlen. Ruck Zuck und kinderleicht eingerichtet. Habe mein iPhone mit 3 älteren  Produkten verbunden und alles funktioniert tadellos! Datenschutz ist auch Top. Es werden keine Daten gesammelt, keine Werbung, kein Tracking oder Analysen.

Nice App, But Needs a Little Work

The app works really well, but it would be great if the motion trigger switch would consistently stay set. It seems to randomly reset itself to off, which not helpful at all.

My entire family got hacked, and the hacker has been using this app to see whats going on.

Wonderful App

This app is very thoughtfully designed and a great way to set up a simple yet powerful security system in your home or anywhere you travel. I can choose the data storage location which is great, although I would like to see the ability to directly add any S3 compatible access so I can use my decentralized cloud account with this.

It is hard to access through iCloud Drive folder and even export all is not an option using the phone.

DONT GET THIS APP

I got this app a few days ago to take care of my kittens while I was away from home. To my surprise, it didn’t work. Even though it had good reviews on the AppStore. It won’t let you connect your phone to another device in order to see what’s going on. All it does is record. If all I wanted to do was record, I could have just recorded on the camera app. If someone were to break into my house, they could easily erase the video and you would have no proof. Thankfully, I was able to find a much better app that helped me get what I wanted (Alfred Camera). Don’t waste your time on this app.

The premium version of AiCam lets you protect the app with a passcode, so that no one can delete any data or videos in the app. AiCam also lets you automatically store videos in iCloud for remote access.

This app is a surprise

I got this app recommended by a friend and I have a spare Iphone X so why not. I have 3 cats, my roommate has 1 cat and none of them play along with other. When I go to work, I need to monitor my cats to make sure they don’t pull any funny business with my roommate’s cat. This app has cat detection functionality and I found out that my roommate’s cat jumped on the common sofa and peed on it (my cat’s regular place).
The only downside of this app is that I have to power the phone from an outlet and secure it with a tripod but I have those as spare so it’s not really a big deal for me

The person detection just works wonder. I’ve been using another security camera app for years but got increasingly frustrated with the false alarms of motion detection. I use AiCam to record my driveway, it catches me really precisely.

Fast perfekt

Ich hatte vorher die App Alfred probiert und die stürzt ständig ab. Die App AiCam habe ich eine Woche lang tags und nachts laufen lassen und bisher keine Probleme. Die Personenerkennung ist sehr zuverlässig. Es ist toll, dass die App in der kostenlosen Version gar keine Werbung anzeigt und auch keine Registrierung benötigt. Ich bin am Anfang etwas verwirrt, es gibt viele Menüs und Setting. Liegt wahrscheinlich auch daran, dass die App voll mit Features verpackt ist. Aber nach langer Benutzung finde ich die Menüführung sehr praktisch.

Smart camera app with on-device AI

In the last few years IP cameras have become smart, mandating cloud connections, and become a privacy nightmare in the process. AiCam makes the difference. The ability to integrate with Shortcuts app or sending Webhook request is a big plus for home automation fans. I personally use the face recognition event to know when my kid come home.
