Flew in a plane

I flew in an aircraft, the airplane was making a turn and the indicator was working initially, then it came back to level even though the plane was still in a turn. I downloaded this app because I had no outside view of the windows and wanted to see how the plane was oriented.

Response from developer

Thanks for trying the app during your flight and for the detailed feedback. The app relies on the phone’s motion sensors, which use gravity as a reference. During sustained turns in an aircraft, additional forces may affect how the device interprets orientation, which may cause the indicator to return to level even while the aircraft is still banking. I will think about whether the accuracy can be improved in the future. If you remember any additional details, they would be very helpful for reproducing the situation. In particular: • whether you used the calibration feature • whether the phone was rotated or moved while the app was launching • which orientation the app was used in (portrait, landscape left, or landscape right) • how the phone was positioned (handheld, on the tray table, etc.) You can send the details to valnikodeveloper@gmail.com or through the support page in the app. Also, the app is not intended to be used as a certified flight instrument.

Very realistic

This app works just like an aircraft artificial horizon display and is pretty accurate too!

Nice AI but need a CAGE button!

It is a really good artificial horizon application but to be really functional it needs a cage button. Otherwise it is impossible to use it in the cockpit as a back-up.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review. A "CAGE" (calibration) functionality will be developed later. Please, stay tuned for the updates.

Love it!

Very useful app!

Not FAA Approved But

In an emergency, this is way more accurate than what’s provided by your ADSB device, hanging on your window.

Nice

Helps a lot good work buddy
And no ads!!!!

Can’t reset ‘zero’ angles

Pitch & roll angles don’t depend on the angle of the phone when opened. They zero on the phone in level landscape orientation with the screen in a vertical position (ie facing horizontally). There’s no reset or other setting control. So you cannot use this in a holder angled towards the user. (Dec 2021)

Response from developer

Thank you for your response. I will add portrait mode and angle calibration in next versions as soon as possible for free.
