AirMusic allows you to stream your music library directly from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch over WiFi to compatible devices like Xbox, PlayStation, Chromecast, or a PC running Windows Media Player. This enables wireless music playback without needing extra hardware or cables.
The app is compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Chromecast, and PCs running Windows Media Player. It uses DLNA/UPnP protocols for streaming. It is not compatible with Apple Music or older DRM-protected songs purchased on iTunes.
Ensure your iOS device and target device are on the same local network. Start AirMusic on your iOS device, then navigate to the music player on your target device (e.g., Xbox Media Player, PS3 Music Menu, or Windows Media Player) and select your iOS device from the list. For Chromecast, an icon will appear in AirMusic to initiate the connection.
Based on the provided information, the app is a paid application. There is no mention of free usage, in-app purchases, or advertisements, suggesting a one-time purchase model.
AirMusic requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with at least 50MB of free disk space to function effectively. It is also compatible with iCloud if songs have been downloaded onto your device.
