As bad as Sonos

Scam ware as far as I’m concerned. I’d actually like a refund. I see nowhere in the menus on how to add a speaker. It instantly picked up one of my Roams, but not the other or the Ones. I also done see where to add music services like Spotify or Amazon.

Better than SONOS

Very simple … WAY better than the “genuine” SONOS app.

Useless for Large Libraries

I have a large Apple Music library. Every time I open this app, it takes ages to load the library and won't play anything from it. Doesn't solve any of the problems that plague the official Sonos app in that regard. Feel I've wasted my money.

Great!!

This app is excellent at finding, connecting and controlling my Sonos S1 system. It is also extremely Fast! Overall leaves me wondering why Sonos does not provide this experience with their app.
I recently replaced my iPhone and the S1 app would not connect to my Sonos system. After much time debugging, following the, unhelpful, Sonos recommended procedures, I downloaded this app. Within 5 seconds, this app connected, found all system components, services, playlists, etc. Great job!!

Doesnt work

Cannot find my Sonos devices. The reason i got the app was to replace the useless sonos app, which also cannot detect them. This app’s suggested fix was to consult the sonos app, so obviously that is useless and this was a waste of $4. And yes, I am connected to my network. Thanks.

FAQ

What does SonoPhone for Sonos do?

SonoPhone for Sonos provides an enhanced user interface for controlling your Sonos audio system. It aims to speed up common tasks, offer a cleaner and more stable experience, and simplify zone management and music source selection.

What are the key features of this app?

Key features include faster task completion with fewer taps, a clean and stable interface, backward compatibility with Sonos S1 firmware, zone management with drag-and-drop grouping, and intuitive volume and progress popups. It also offers 'Touch To Play' functionality for albums and tracks.

Is this app free to use?

No, this application is not free. The description explicitly states that it is a third-party app and not free, implying a one-time purchase cost.

What are the limitations of SonoPhone for Sonos?

The app does not support administrative features like adding players or music services, nor does it allow for playing music stored on the iPhone. It also does not support alarms, sleep settings, or the discontinued WD100 dock. Grouping of S1 and S2 devices in the same zone is not possible due to Sonos limitations.

Who is this app designed for?

This app is designed for Sonos users who want a more efficient and intuitive control experience. It is particularly beneficial for those who still use older Sonos S1 devices, as it consolidates control into a single application.
