$15 service fee that’s NOT refundable even if they never show up. They hold your funds hostage for the task as long as the tasker keeps changing the date for the task.

You can put your money on AirTasker for sure if you don’t trust people out there .
Chat function
This app has guidelines for when you want to have a conversation with the Tasked. And I get it’s for safety reasons, but the redacting of ever comment I make is a bit much, and gets annoying over time. I understand not sharing the address/postcode unless it’s a private chat, but the hefty fee I’d have to pay to confirm a Tasker to then be able to talk to them is ridiculous. They even redacted me saying the word “okay”.

just recently installed and the app crashes every minute or so
Ridiculous Fees
If you post a task, be aware that you have to pay a fee for being connected with the person you choose to do the job. The person doing the job also has to pay a fee, so obviously they build that into their price. That means you end up paying both fees. Ridiculous!!
No real cover if a Tasker denies damage
Tasker damaged my building's ceiling during a delivery, denied it, and refused to accept the claim. Airtasker recorded the incident but told me it was below the insurance excess, so there was no path to recovering the repair cost either way. Fine for finding help, but don't expect real cover if the Tasker just denies responsibility.

App Crashes, Can’t Post
Since recent update, every single time I try to create a new ad for a job, the app crashes. It’s been like this for over a week, it’s a nightmare.
Terrible trash app
Full of scam posters I got scammed by someone that asked me to post Facebook ads and I was never paid turns out their ads were a scam. Airtasker did not care at all and let the scammers continue posting. Then I did a job and was reached out to via email harassing me because I left them a bad review when I let Airtasker know….. again crickets they didint care at all this is a terrible platform and yours be better taking your efforts somewhere else.

Useless app keeps crashing
Absolute garbage app. Cant do anything with it. App keeps crashing before I can fully complete a job request. Wrote out my request four times and still quitting on me halfway through. Don’t bother downloading this app, it serves absolutely no useful function.

Been using this app for years and the messaging and notification issues are still not fixed.
I’ve spoken to many Taskers and they all say the same thing – you have to keep checking the app because notifications are unreliable and it’s easy to miss messages.
The fees are astronomical.
Support is the usual copy-and-paste nonsense, and once you leave the chat on your phone you can’t access it again. No chat history, no way to refer back to the conversation.

User friendly!
Obsessed with how quick and easy it is to get things done. I’m so happy every time I book a tasker! The app is incredibly user friendly! Highly recommend!
Buggy keeps closing when trying to use
This app is a pain to deal with, when trying to post a task or message a tasker it just stops working, stops and closes itself. Forced me to use the browser which keeps bugging me to use this app.

A trap for tradies- they let clients steal labor
Airtasker lets clients steal your work. I proved 100% completion with photos, but support ignored it and cut my pay 1/5 for a fake dispute. They do not care about providers. Avoid
