Connectivity Issues

Indeed , like other reviewers said… dropping out, can’t connect back to it after that.

App freezes

Since iOS 26.6 the app freezes on the first screen. You can’t access the zones screen. Used to work great before update of iOS

Frequently loses wifi connection.

Frequently loses wifi connection.

Drops off

The app started very good for 6 months now for the last two months continuously drops off and we have to start and control it manually.

Response from developer

Hi Siyah. Thanks for letting us know. We’re looking into this and will make any changes necessary, subject to root cause.

Buggy and Crashes

Worst app I’ve used. Always crashes, have to keep logging in. Very poor in accessing remotely. Slow when toggling between temps and %…. Have to wait 2-3 seconds for each touch to register. Why is this so hard? Premium system very sub standard app.

Response from developer

Hi there. Thanks for the input. We’ll pass your comments to our developers to ensure continued improvement of the app.

Worst update

The old version of this app was so easy to use. The latest update has the worst user interface I’ve ever seen. It’s clunky and unnecessarily convoluted. Please go back to the original app!

Response from developer

Hi there. If you’re referring to AT 5, the app continues to be available for air control only. AT Home focuses on a broader smart home approach. You can swap between both through settings at any time.

Needs ongoing developer support

This app is the default app for the AirTouch 5 air conditioner controller which runs the AC unit from an android tablet.

You can set up quite personalised and specific settings with different start and stop times, and temperatures within a program.

The iPhone/iPad app is ok, some set up options are not intuitive and are hidden behind other screens and settings. However once set up the system generally runs smoothly and the main screen allows you to quickly change zone settings on the fly.

Some downsides. The app could be more stable, it regularly fails to establish a connection and needs to be fully shutdown and reopened to work properly.

The developer is also trying to move users to the AirTouch Home. Which it says has “a focus on the entire home and smart devices” what that means in reality is that you are confronted with a much more complicated and cluttered interface with a new app that requires more sharing of personal data. The new app is in addition to the Airtouch5 app, not a replacement so you end up with 2 apps to manage one device which is a backward step.

Hopefully the developer doesn’t abandon the AirTouch5 app and those of us who simply and only want to control their air conditioner can still use it.

The Airtouch5 app needs ongoing support and refinement.

Looks good

Hope they keep up and get better so far loving it and the app is good

Response from developer

Thank you! What is it you enjoy the most?

Frequently disconnects

The app frequently drops out from the connection with Wifi and you can’t use it on your iPhone. Have to often come downstairs and make adjustments on the wired in console. Everything else in our house works perfectly on the Wifi signal, which is strong. I’ve seen many other comments on the app saying the same thing. The app needs to be fixed to it doesn’t have regular connection issues. It’s terrible as it is.

Air touch 5 - won’t connect

Just installed by the Air Con company. Tablet is connected to home wifi but the IOS version of the app will not connect to the tablet.

Frustrating

Needs a faster all

Good product but can you make the zones faster to display when opening the app??

Does NOT want to connect

It used to be good with the previous version, since I updated to the latest version, all I got was “fail to connect to Airtouch” error. Please fix

Ridiculous

Terrible app

Great App!

The app works and looks great. UI is responsive and clean.

Could you please add a dark icon option? Air touch is the only app on my Home Screen that doesn’t support a dark icon.

Good in theory, poor performance in practice

The App when it works is great. But the trouble is it keeps losing connection with my ducted air conditioning system via the home wifi which means I have to delete and reinstall the App repeatedly to be able to use it. Very frustrating.

App disconnection

The app constantly disconnects from the device and I have to manually switch the device on/off. The app is very unreliable and doesn’t function as desired.

Time for an update

Getting really annoyed with this app

Keeps freezing

App keeps freezing making it impossible to control the unit. Have to constantly exit the app and reopen to get it to work. It’s been 6 months since the last update for the app to fix issues. When is the next update to rectify issues?

The worst

App does not do specifically what it’s designed for - so you can remotely control the AC. Continuously drops out & can’t locate the device - even when you’re in the house. Really appalling given the investment in the equipment & upgrade to have this interface. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

Terrible Apps

The wifi continuously disconnect.
