Aizoku Sudoku

Aizoku is a different kind of sudoku. Instead of square cells, a board of octagons; and at every crossing, a rhombus that tells you about the digits around it. The core rule is the classic one: no digit repeats in a row or a column. But there are no boxes here; the clues live in the rhombuses. Their color tells you whether the diagonals match: • Magenta rhombus: both diagonals match. • Blue rhombus: only one matches. • Dark rhombus: neither matches. Every board has a single solution and can be solved by pure logic, with no guessing, ever. NINE BOARDS Size and difficulty are chosen separately, which gives you nine different boards: • Size: 5×5, 7×7 or 9×9. • Difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. Difficulty does not just change how many digits you start with: it also changes how many colored clues the board carries. A Beginner board looks lit up; an Expert one, almost dark. The 5×5 on Beginner and Intermediate is free and complete. MEDALS AND RECORDS No clock against you: time counts up and a game can never be lost. When you solve it you see your score, your time and the medal you earned: gold, silver or bronze. Each of the nine boards keeps its own ten best scores, with name, date and the medal earned. On a shared tablet, everyone gets their own row. WORLD RANKING With the subscription your games compete: one table per board and per period — best of the week, the month and the year — and the periods roll over on their own. ALSO Notes, undo and redo, hints, error checking and automatic note cleanup. Eight languages. The whole game works offline: the only thing that needs a connection is competing.
