Does indeed add attack and bite to drums
I wasn’t expecting miracles for such a low price but I got an instant result on first try. It does seem to work like an 1176. I can’t say how close at this stage but on a drum loop I got exactly what I wanted very easily. A crisp attack to the snare and a serious punch to the kick while the hats improved without being squashed flat. Definitely worth the asking price and I am expecting it to be great on individual snares and kicks. Looking forward to trying it on bass guitar too.

I bought this and the L2. Both excellent for an excellent price. I wish there were a dry/wet control (mix knob for parallel compression), but still I use them a lot.

Please add all-buttons-in mode!
Sounds excellent - not a transparent compressor (just like its hardware inspiration) but great for squashing peaks and adding some color at the same time, and no need to fiddle with a threshold setting.
Adding all-buttons-in (arguably the secret weapon mode on the original hardware) would make this perfect!
