Does indeed add attack and bite to drums
I wasnโt expecting miracles for such a low price but I got an instant result on first try. It does seem to work like an 1176. I canโt say how close at this stage but on a drum loop I got exactly what I wanted very easily. A crisp attack to the snare and a serious punch to the kick while the hats improved without being squashed flat. Definitely worth the asking price and I am expecting it to be great on individual snares and kicks. Looking forward to trying it on bass guitar too.

Excellent
I bought this and the L2. Both excellent for an excellent price. I wish there were a dry/wet control (mix knob for parallel compression), but still I use them a lot.
