No queue. No easy way to see what is played or unplayed.
The only functionality that shows played versus unplayed is buried within a submenu of each episode.
It’s frustrating. I can’t tell what I’ve listened to or missed. This is basic functionality of any good podcast app.

It is unethical to charge a subscription when there will never be new content aside from the occasional In the Way episode, which are all free.
It’s a greedy pricing model for a mediocre experience. You can listen to almost all of this on YouTube for free.

Capitalism at its finest
Can’t listen to anything without paying a subscription fee. This man blesses us with all this knowledge and information, and you guys put it all behind a fancy app with a paywall. It’s actually kind of ironic in a way. Very similar to the Bob Ross case, taking other people’s work and making money off of it. Shame.

In 2023 I paid $34.99 for the Alan Watts essentials lectures. Now no longer available. So where is the content I paid for already? Now $49.99/year? For what?

There is a method to check, but it is obtuse and missing important UI cues.

Very well done app
So glad I downloaded this. It’s nice to get genuine Alan Watts talks and not all the AI nonsense on other platforms. Happy to pay as long as the talks keep coming. Would love to see video someday.
Amazing collection
I am so happy with the most recent updates! Being able to download favorites and keep track of the recordings. I have already listened to is absolutely amazing! I also just noticed that in the “library“ section you can see which recordings you listened to on certain dates. There is so much content, so it used to be easy to get confused about what you’ve listened to and coming back to what you really like. I also live in a small country town with very little cell phone reception, so it’s really nice to be able to download episodes before I go on a drive or a walk when I want to listen to these. Now, in the age of AI, it’s becoming more and more difficult to find genuine Alan Wats content online, so it feels good to know that these are all genuine recordings of his original content, thank you!

No Customer Support?
I love Alan Watts and really enjoyed the app until they made the update a few months ago. Had issues regaining access to my account so I emailed them and reached out on social media and never received a reply. I would have gladly renewed my yearly subscription if somebody would’ve helped me.

Wonderful content - confusing app
The content is amazing, but how do you Favorite or Download a talk? I did discover that I can Favorite a talk on the website, but I see no way to do that in the app. In Library > Downloads it says to click the Download Icon to download a track. Where is the icon? Support never replied to me.
Change it back!
I am very disappointed with the upgrade of this app. The colourised television series which I very much enjoyed and watched regularly has been removed. It also now only plays one talk at a time and does not automatically play the next one in the series. There is no way to make your own favourites playlist. The app stops working when my phone lock is on so bedtime listening has stopped now. There is so much less on this new app than before and I no longer find it user friendly. Not worth my £4.99 per month if I can’t use it as I need to. Very disappointing and upsetting as it was a lifeline for me 😢

Fantastic app!
I love this app. It’s fantastic having all of Alan Watts’s talks, lectures, shows, etc. in one place. They’ve done a marvelous job. I only wish that they had an annual plan.
Material is great, new app not ready for prime time
I asked for help on the app and it sends me to a company that no longer supports the app. I was supposed to auto renew but things on the app are locked and I have nothing saying the payment did not go through.

… I’m sure Watts would have something to say about requiring £5 a month to absorb his musings. I understand that this will help in the preservation of his work, but this cost is highly limiting of access to one of the most beautiful minds of our age. I hope the organisation considers a different approach in the future.
