Don’t waste your time on app
Need to scan the drivers license but cannot read the ID. Then you can manually put the information but then it doesn’t match the DMV records and cannot proceed. Does not save any progress so I had to start from scratch so many times and eventually gave up.
Non-Functional Garbage App
Prepare to download an app that is completely non-functional. It does not communicate with the DMV, then provides the error message blaming you for everything info that doesn’t match the DMV’s.
I have tried 30 times over the past few weeks. A handful of times, I securely got past the last 4 digit SSN verification and it scans my face in an attempt to “match” the DMV (again), then promptly closes the whole app, which forces the user to go through the whole process again.
This is a really good idea to send to Alaskans you want to annoy. Tell them that it worked for you!

3 months later, still crashes
My guy. Fix your app. It’s still living in crashville.
Does not work
Doesn’t scan barcode and anytime I try to manual enter my info it crashes after hitting “continue.”

By far the worst app I’ve ever used
This has got the be the worst app I’ve ever seen. In theory it’s a good idea but when I scan my license it crashes so it’s totally useless.
Disappointed!
I had the same issues as a previous reviewer, in that when pointing the camera (iPhone 17 Pro) at my license it was either out of focus or too small so it would not capture (does not allow camera to focus). It also failed the manual entry portion. I really thought it was a great idea, have tried twice by deleting and downloading it a second time. No difference. I suggest a change to the coding that allows the camera to focus automatically. Doesn’t seem impossible with so many apps that do that kind of thing.
Update: after contacting the developer as they suggested, they emailed me to say that the issue was fixed and all is well with the world. But imagine this…THEY LIED! The very same issues exist and I can not seem to find a single feature that has been fixed! Fool me once…..

Crashes
It crashes when trying to input your info. Won’t even scan id barcode. Don’t waste your time
Waste of time
I enter my password and it’s a blank screen! It worked when I first installed it but now blank pages.
Ran in circles
The app will not work for me. DMV confirmed my information is correct and told me to contact app support. I opened a support ticket, was told to contact t the Alaska DMV and then ignored after the point. Waste of time!
Not good
Used to work mediocre. Then it lost my ID. Tried to reinstall and now just crashes when trying to add an id. Note also that id scan is impossible due to lack of closeup focus.
Worked then it didn’t - updated review
This app originally worked for a while. Then when I went to check it today it says I didn’t have any credentials loaded. Now it doesn’t even recognize my information and gives a DMV mismatch error when manually entering the information directly off my Real ID drivers license. You should delete this app from the Apple Store and the developers should make it so it appears in the “wallet” app. Big waste of state money and resources IMO.
Seemed to work for a bit and now it is saying no credentials found. This app needs a complete overhaul and rebuild from the ground up.

Not functioning
Eventually got the card barcode to scan by placing the phone and the card on a table perfectly still and walking away for a while. But it says my information does not match dmv records which is rediculous. So not a usable service. Can you say nice try
Lame AF
This thing doesn’t work. After finally getting the scan on the back of my ID and everything else it keeps saying information not correct even though it is. I don’t know how the state of Alaska is you’ve been trying to promote this app. Does it work for anyone? Has anyone had success with this?

Hopefully a temporary app
The only way they could justify how awful this app is would be if it’s just holding them over until they figure out how to add our info to Apple or Google wallets.

Registration failed multiple times due to the app closing during or shortly after photo uploads. No explanation given. Not dependable so far.

App really doesn’t work. Tried numerous times to scan and enter manually data and then the app crashes. Reach out to support via email and seems I received responses real quick as if AI was responding and not a real person. The response stated click on link to receive a code and the website it directed me to did not appear to be an actual MyAkasja website. Again responded to support and stated this and the quick response I received was “A new incident has been commented”. Maybe a real person should respond to problems and either state call this number to talk to a real person to resolve this issue.
