I miss the written articles.
Tired of having to go through advertising to watch an article I would just assume read. Dumping the app now sorry guys.
Ad volume is excessive
Absolutely infuriating how many ads I have to watch to see a short news clip on an app.
Horrible
Doesn’t work. The advertisement keeps repeating. Close it and it opens back up. Deleted the app. Reinstalled. Same result.
One step above worthless
This app is a mess. I use it to watch the Anchorage news but the app doesn’t make it easy. It isually will not resume streaming after commercials, requiring one to guess when the ads are over and restart the app to get back to programming. It often will switch from the program you to one of their other features. And every time, you have to sit through the Peoplemover ad. It’s frustrating to use.

Go back to your previous version
The 3.0.2 version is next to useless. I know you folks need to sell adds, but one pops up every moment, it seems, so it’s nearly impossible to find anything. The weather link doesn’t open, and scrolling through the list just opens advertisements!
Might need to follow the lead by Dish, and just delete the app.

Terrible App
I don’t usually rate apps, but this one is SO terrible I have to. Why did AK News Source change to this? It’s clunky and looks like a cheap website or blog with paid advertising everywhere. Please do better for Alaskans who want to actually read the news and stay updated with what’s going on around the state!

This app used to be awesome
Worthless App
Hard to access content that you want. Unwanted and unexpected ads and sounds pop up. Notification number next to app icon that you can never manage to turn off. I like my phone apps clean of those notification numbers. This bothers me the most. Really clunky app in general. Almost thought of deleting app but we don’t have too many options in Alaska for local news. Just putting up with it until I can find another option

Mute the Audio PLEASE
This app should NOT default to playing un-muted audio when you click on an article! It makes it very difficult to check the news in quiet settings!
Sucks
This new app sucks. So does the news station once they combined KTUU and KTVA. They only focus on road system news and southern Alaska weather. They don’t care about the real Alaska—western/northwest/north slope. Off the road system Alaska.
It doesn’t all have to be breaking
Had to turn off breaking news notifications as it was just too much. It didn’t used to be this bad. I don’t need to know about a sentencing trial at 10pm. Simmer down now.
Glitch in app
Despite having been through everything there is to look at in the app, I still have that little red notification button with the number one in it. This app needs an update so that it goes away when you have looked at the latest notifications.
Station and app changed
Along with all the new hires and changes in the news and whether team, they also changed an app that was working pretty well. Now I can no longer watch the news on my schedule. Hulu charges an exorbitant amount for live tv. Guess I’ll leave TV news and go back to the newspaper.
Disappointing update
Can’t get rid of the notification bubble! Even deleted the app and reinstalled- no luck. Same stories just repeated on 8 different pages. Hard to tell what is recent. One article had a video linked to it that had nothing to do with what I was reading. And the flipping advertisements, holy cow! Deleting this app. Go back to the drawing board!

Not a fan
I preferred the old appearance and clarity of this app. The headlines now appear smaller and use a font that is not as easy to read. I also don’t like the ads in the middle. They used to be at the end.
Notification
How did I get rid of a notification on my Home Screen? I am using a IPad. The AK news source app says I have 1 in a red circle notification. I can note get it to go away. Tell me how to make it go away please. Thank you
Unfortunate update
The new app has awful privacy controls, annoying customized notifications sounds and oppressive advertisements. I am uninstalling.
Please bug fix red notification
Although there are no new notifications on the app, it continues to show the little red circle notification on the home screen. Please do a bug fix to enable this to go away after app has been opened.
Worst update ever
This is the worse update ever to this app. It is very hard to read. Hard to find articles. Can’t get rid up alerts. The ads come up every time you click on different tabs. Most annoying.
