Absolutely delighted!

Thank you so much for this! I adore my iPod classic, and this function is one of the reasons why. This works perfectly with music transferred via iTunes (I’m currently using an iPhone 11). I’m off to do my happy dance now!

essential app

Tried to contact developer through the app, which is in the settings. Problem is, no email ever popped up, so I’m leaving feedback here.

Filtering by playlists isn’t available in this version, but filtering by genres is. The app doesn’t see the playlists. Or perhaps there’s a toggle in settings that’s broken. Hope this is fixable and if so, fixed soon.

What does AlbumMixer do?

AlbumMixer brings back the classic 'Shuffle by Album' feature for your music library. It shuffles your albums and plays them without mixing the tracks within a single album, preserving the intended listening experience for concert recordings, classical pieces, or concept albums.

How do I use AlbumMixer?

Simply tap the 'Shuffle Albums' button. The app will shuffle your albums, add the first 12 to the built-in music player, and start playing. You can then close the app, and the music will continue. You can control playback with pause, skip, and rewind functions.

Can I customize the shuffle?

Yes, in the settings, you can select the number of albums to queue. You can also choose to shuffle from a specific playlist or genre, although this may be slower for larger selections.

Is AlbumMixer free to use?

Yes, AlbumMixer is a free application. It does not have in-app purchases or advertisements, offering a pure shuffle experience.

What happens if I don't like the current album playing?

If you don't like the album that is currently playing, you can simply press the 'Shuffle Albums' button again. This will reshuffle your albums and start playing a new selection.
