Confusing claim filling, have to choose between HSA and Mefical, no Fental???
Why not rename account options to choose from when filling a claim Flex Spending Account instead of just "Medical"?? When you have dental claims this is really confusing.

The app works ok. However, Alera is about the worst FSA that I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time, money and patience with this service.

The absolute worst
These people deserve 0 stars. There is no communication from them providing updates on your claims and they’re straight up lying when they say you will be reimbursed in 1-3 business days after submitting the claim. I submitted a claim on 6/07. Today is 6/28 and I still haven’t received payment. They allege a check has been sent. We’ll see. Do yourself a favor and set your money aside for vision and dental. You will hate using them and I guarantee you’ll only make the mistake of using the service one time.
Also, I requested direct deposit but because there is no guidance or communication from them, I didn’t know it was not set up properly. The dude on the phone said I “should” have been sent a check but I’m not holding my breath on anything from these clowns.

Glitchy
The app is glitchy, frequently requiring reset and often times the biometrics/face id login doesn’t work. The app does not save receipts that were previously uploaded making it pretty useless for any end of year reviews or tax needs.
Zero if possible
They hold your money hostage when THEY have thousands of YOUR dollars held in limbo whenever there is a dispute about a submittal no matter how little of your money is involved. Just a horrible way to do business.
So easy to use

Not easy to be paid
Very unhappy with app and company in general. Trying to use my own money for co pays and don’t get paid and can’t track why I’m not being paid. Very dissatisfied. Would rather not use and just save myself. I’m much more reliable than this company or app
