Great App

The app looks beautiful and works well. I have it setup with Audiobookshelf. The only issue I have is that it takes forever to load when I open the app. I have a audiobook library of over 300GB so I can understand it will take a little while. But it loads way slower than other apps I’ve used.

Once everything loads in it works great though. Would 100% recommend for smaller libraries.

Good start - Potential to be the best app

Good app but pricey.

Promising Start!

A well polished all-in-one client for your self-hosted ebooks and audiobooks. A little more love on the reader, such as page swipe animations and controls (rather than just tap and button press) and font style options, would easily make this a five star app. Haven’t tested CarPlay compatibility yet but, if not yet available, it’s a must to make this the go-to app.

Looking forward to seeing how this app develops!

Amazing feedback! Thank you so much for the interest and support! I am still working out some of the issues with the reader but those features are in the pipeline! I am also still working on a dedicated CarPlay app but CarPlay "Now Playing" feature is supported; if you start a book in the app you will have control through the car.

All in one stop shop

Everything on this app is getting better and better, the developer is quick to fix or get new material up ready to use quick. Keep up the great work.

Lots of great features

So far I am loving this app. Being asked to sign up for the second service at login was a bit of a pain as I only have one service live at the moment but it’s all good because I will be able to switch if I don’t want the one I chose (it has a one month cool down unless you pay for premium).

So far it has work well with my audiobookshelf and is quickly becoming my favorite app for listening to my audiobooks. Only minor complaint is that every time I start the app I have to adjust the playback speed back to where I want it, but great news! I talked to the dev and he is working on making that setting persistent.

All in all I recommend this app.

Hello! As of the latest release, v1.1.8, Alexandria does now support setting a global playback speed! This can be found under Settings > Playback Options Excellent feedback and I am glad to hear you're enjoying the experience so far. Please let me know if you have any other requests or find any issues that need to be addressed!

Help

I only have one service, but still want to use. Don’t want to select a 2nd because if the cool down time

Hello alt-ness! The app prompts you to select your two services, but you only need to sign into one to access and use the app. The app does not force you to change your services every 30 days, and does not sign you out after 30 days has passed. The 30 days is just a time frame that you must wait before you can optionally change your services, if you so desire. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need anything else!
