The best I’ve found
I’m very new to bird photography. After upgrading to a professional camera I took a few shots and now I’m hooked.
I was looking for an app that would tell me what birds I was capturing and how they live. This has provided me with more information than I needed.
Some of the birds that I photographed in Mallorca I now know that they are extremely rare.
If you want to know about birds in your area or what I now do this is the app for you. 10/10. Thank you

Have only just started using the app. Gives me all I need concisely. Easy to use. So glad I downloaded it.
Awesome
Great little app and worth the money. Perfect field guide for any birder.
Excellent field guide
I’ve used this app for several years now and find it an excellent guide to identifying birds in the field - saving the need to carry a heavy book with me. It also scores over a book with the superb selection of songs and calls which I’ve used to confirm an identification. I’ve given the 5 stars based on this experience.
However, the app is not so good for recording your sightings. I probably pushed it further than the designers expected with about 20 lists for sites I’d visited sometimes on several occasions. The app became unbearably slow at saving recordings and in the end I gave up with it. I haven’t lost my records as the app offers the ability to export your lists as CSV files which you can import to Excel. But be aware that the export contains the GPS map coordinates of the sightings so if you didn’t record your list by location you‘ll have trouble working out what you saw where. There are other apps for recording records including one from the BTO, but I’ve decided to go back to pen an paper and will use the RSPB bird lists. Recordings of ten outings for £1 seems pretty good value to me.
