Bright this for focus stacking

And it works like a charm on the A7iv
The introduction comes in handy, thanks to the developer, this was overdue that someone does a good app.
The focus stacking is a bit misleading on the timing? Wouldn’t be a lower number for photos result in a better image?

Response from developer

Hello! Focus stacking is an experimental feature that will hopefully improve over time. There are three parameters, focus speed, timing and quantity limiter. Every lens has different focus speed and you need faster focusing for landscape while macro requires slow focusing. It really depends on depth and precision. Timing control focus precision. Camera react to the commands with different delay. It's random so if you select 1s then it can be once 0.9s and next time 1.1s. If you select 5s then 0.1s deviation wont affect precision that much. So it is basically interval between start focusing and stop focusing. So if you double time you will need to reduce focus speed but you get much higher precision. That's especially important for macro photography, for landscape you don't need such precision so you can keep 1s interval. And the number of picture isn't number of picture from closest to infinity. It is limiter how many steps you want use. If you have fast focusing and large depth of field then you can use really a few photos. Five for example. If you do macro you will need 50 or even more. Again it depends on depth of field and depth of photographed subject. It requires experience. If you did manual focus stacking before you probably know what is your expected result and you'll find correct settings quite quickly. If not, you have to experiment to learn what settings gives you best results. On App's facebook page I am trying create a community of users so we can share experience with the app. Ideally we can share and discuss the settings. Thank you and I wish you good light!

Problem with a7 III and Apple Watch

Bluetooth pairing between Sony a7 III and iPhone 14 Pro works, but no connection with Apple Watch 7. Latest OS Version.
There is no viewfinder image on the iPhone? What is the App good for?

Response from developer

Hello, a camera can have only one active connection at the time. If your iPhone is already connected to the Camera then Watch App will be not able to connect. Please mind that Connection isn't pairing and that connection stay active for some time even if you close the App. There is bluetooth icon on the Camera, if it is gray then camera is free to connect. If it is white then something is already connected to it. You don't have to unpair to make the camera free for connection. Just open the App on connected device, click on "Connections" and deselect the camera from selected cameras. It will immediately disconnect yet remember pairing for reconnecting later. This app uses Bluetooth connection so it doesn't have access to more sophisticated WiFi functionality like live preview or changing parameters. It is its greatest weakness and strength in the same time. Because Bluetooth is much faster to reconnect it can be used in much faster manner and also it keep connection for much longer time which is great if you are waiting for right moment. Also Bluetooth can connect multiple cameras at once while WiFi can't. Especially when using with Apple Watch you'll like the fact it doesn't drain as much power as WiFi does. So you can use it as camera trigger to prevent vibrations, for quick selfies or to start/stop recording on multiple cameras if you are a creator without camera operators. If you will like to discuss the functionality and ideas how to use it, please join App's Facebook page. Also new great feature is in making. Maybe you'll find some use for it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I wish you good light!

Works great!

Once the camera phone were paired, the record functionality (all that I need) worked very easily from my phone.

Thank for this app :)
