Thought it was an answer to prayer…

Christians definitely have their cliques. The people running this app discriminate against others. You'd think with this being prayer focused, that it's also faith focused on God's standards and character.
But that's not the case. This isn't about providing everyone
community, just those they deem deserving of community. I was singled out because I ended an unhealthy relationship with one of the Altar co-founder's friends! Which never should have played a role in whether l could get involved in this community!
God is about unity within the body of Christ, not division! Yet, this is run by people very much acting like they are in high school and mistreating people because of a relationship fall out...
Especially if some altar members that are close to the leadership team, don't like or want to be connected to other altar members due to a relationship ending! It's just very juvenile, petty, immature, and not of God. Altar Social shouldn't be treated as an exclusive club but an inclusive community for those that need/ want community and for people who want to pray with others! Because prayer is powerful and even more so when two or more are gathered! But the people running this are not acting Christlike nor is their fruit reflecting the character of God! It's just another faith community claiming to be Christlike but instead representing the complete opposite! People should not be praying for others when acting like this within the body of Christ! People that intentionally hurt others like this are not reflecting the hands and feet of Jesus!

Obsessed

I have been a part of the Altar app now for a little over a month and I am absolutely obsessed. It is like a feed of just positivity and encouragement and hardship and what’s so cool is that at any given point in time of your day you can either a pray for someone and for their need, share a victory, share success, celebrate wins from all over the world, and also intern when you’re going through something there’s a place a community of people who are there to lift you and hold you up and surround you with the angel armies and it is just so incredible. Every one should be on Alter

This app has been a game changer in my prayer life, and even more than that! If you want prayer to become a habit, this is a safe space to get prayer and learn to pray! Or share your gift and pray for the nations!!! A hopeful, peaceful place to land in this chaotic world!! 🙏🌎💙

Social Media that’s life-giving

My faith walk has grown thanks to Altar, prayers have been tracked and answered and I’ve had folks pray for me and my family around the world. Ephesians 6:18 - And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

The type of social media I’ve wanted

I’ve tried so many different methods of praying for people in my life and remembering their specific prayer requests. None have been effective. It has been so cool to use this app and truly be able to follow along my communities faith walk with the Lord and see how God moves and answers prayers in their lives. Not to mention, being able to post the intimate things that are going on in my life and know that people are actually going to pray over it. I’m surprised and app like this didn’t exist sooner. Grateful for it!

Changed My Life

Altar has fundamentally changed my life. I pray more often and I love being able to easily share my prayer requests with my community and small group. I love praying for others requests. It’s powerful to see how God answers prayers. You can sense God’s blessing through Altar.
