Nice app and Useful
I have never experienced such a user friendly application before. This app is very easy to use and it has very good useful features, The best thing which I liked is Door ring video call , easily we can analyze who is outside of our Door.
Promising Product, Still Has Some Issues
I purchased the Altro Smart Model X because I was surprised there is no other product on the market that both serves as a smart lock and a camera…which I needed both for my property. After 72 hours, here is what I noticed so far:
1) The app/camera does miss some motion detections. It catches many, but they often seem too late (the person is already walking away for example) so a package thief will probably only catch their back as they run away and not get a glimpse of their face in time.
2) Installation is way harder and longer than it seems from the company’s videos. Their video/instructions may be outdated or at least incorrect for right handed doors. After about 2 hours and three attempts (following their instructions for right handed doors), I finally got the lock working and I have carpenter experience. It’s not an easy process.
3) The product and iOS app is run well. I love the ease of adding unique passcodes for individuals and can set the times their code can work. Additionally being able to answer/unlock my door from anywhere in the world after my doorbell is rung is a very cool feature. Plus you can set how long your door automatically locks after it’s been unlocked. A very cool feature. If they can fix the motion detection feature in future software updates, I would give their product a higher rating.
