Latest update broke live tv
With the latest update live tv no longer works on my iPad
Will not ask for network access on iOS
The prior app had network access. When it updated to this version, network access is not present and there does not seem to be a way to make it ask for the network access, making my unit useless.
Nope! April update broke it
Now network issue is WORSE! Amazon is a joke.
Recast always offline
I’m never able to connect to the recast to watch on my mobile device. It always shows as offline/disconnected even though it’s hardwired.
Recast is a ripoff piece of junk
I had it for years and it never worked on my tablet or my phone I bought it for remote viewing first it didn’t work out of the house now it don’t work in the house , they discontinued the recast and do not support this product anymore. It was buggy when it worked. Don’t buy a product that don’t update and support it.

The product need massive updates to keep up. Please update so it’s usable on iPhone and IPad

Formerly a great product
The recast used to work great. Now since they discontinued it, it’s very buggy and needs to be rebooted daily. Almost unusable at this point.
Killed my Blaster
Blaster device has solid orange light even though it shows up in this app and on my FireTV and connected to my router. But a “connection issue” won’t let me enable the Blaster in my FireTV equipment settings to control via Echo. Basically the Blaster that was working great is garbage now.
Useless
Amazon introduced this app and now I can not access my recast. Major failure on their part.
Won’t Play Shows
I’ve tried this app on multiple iphones and an iPad but none of them can connect to the FireTV Recast and show me any recorded shows. It also says I don’t have any channels but that part of the app hasn’t worked in a while. I just want an app to view the recorded shows on the Recast. I can watch them on FireTV sticks I have around the house but it just doesn’t work on this app. Please fix this Amazon.

Video Stream Problem on macOS Tahoe
On macOS Tahoe, the video stream on this app is not centered and is shifted to the right so much that you can’t see it.
Not showing any channels
Unable to see channels on app, it scans and locates them, but then says there are none available. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no help.
Update is horrible
Yep, it got automatically updated and lost my channels. I ended up having to do a factory reset, and set up my recast again. It went okay until the channel scan. I did get it to scan, it found 100 channels and then told me there were no channels and to do a channel scan. I did this a few more times before realizing the app is bad.

Took a great product and completely ruined it
I had no problem with this for years until lately. It’s just been one problem after another. They appear to be doing update willy-nilly completely messing stuff up so I can’t record or playback and the support is like a joke. They don’t have any clue what is going on half the timeand this latest app is just completely useless and does not work.

If it ain’t broke….
Classic Amazon taking something that worked and making it worse. Why do I need 3 apps to set up my Fire TV blaster? I could live with 2… but 3? This is ridiculous. And the worst part is it doesn’t even work.
No local network
Will not connect to network to allow streaming g. The app is almost as useless as the previous one
Where are the shows?
The old Fire TV app was buggy, but at least it showed my Recast and the list of shows so I could watch on my tablet and delete from there, too. This app only seems to be for initial setup. Please bring back the original app. This one doesn’t do anything.
Terrible
Drops connections. Won’t connect. Full of bugs. Trash. Worse than the previous app, which was bad.
Doesn’t connect most of the time
When the app connects it’s fine but 80% of the time it will not connect. Must be my Recast? Hmmm, works fine from the Firestick but not the iPad. The app is the difference. Amazon doesn’t care.
