Not for me
I thought my experience with these would be much different but I honestly don’t like them. Parent dashboard has changed so now I have to hunt for the requests from my kids instead of them being in a simple tab, I don’t like the operating system and it’s been a nightmare to try and add games or apps the kids had on my iPad

So slow at times
The app is unresponsive with approving requests and is very tough to navigate
Dashboard controls never work
Whenever I press to pause the device it never works which renders the app pretty useless for a parent with a young child.
Ugh
It is not easy to navigate. When you finally figure it out, it doesn’t work. I shot my child’s tablet off and yet he’s still sitting there playing. This is the second app that you’ve come up with that I know of and it’s still sucks. Parents can’t navigate and control like we should be able to.
Good, but obvious Features needed
The app is relatively simple, but good for controlling my kids’ two Kindle Fire tablets. Something is slightly dodgy, though when I give them more time. One of them shows this immediately, but the other one often takes a restart or quite a while to unlock and allow more time.
Another critical feature is the ability to make the tablet play a sound, so it’s easy and quick to find. One of the kids always knows where it is. The other never remembers where it was put down.
Finally, it would be really useful to know how large each app and video or series is, to better manage memory on the tablets. I like that the app shows what’s loaded, but there’s no way to tell how much memory an app or series is using.

All restrictions I set were removed today
I had blocked access to the web and Amazon kids for my child’s profile. This was fine for over a year and suddenly today the profile has access to everything despite me changing nothing - worrying! Luckily my child flagged the change to me - I can’t rely on Amazon to keep them safe
Password
Can’t easily retrieve or reset my password
Bluetooth
It’s hard to connect headphones to her device under kids setting.
Variable
Fine when it works. I'd like to be able to turn screen time on and off from my phone so I don't have to physically remove the device. However the ability to perform this function only works when it feels like it, even though it claims from the phone to have worked, and when I go into the settings on the device it displays the correct settings, it hasn't bothered to implement the setting.

Useless, cannot access the Parent dash to control
This app has gone crazy. Will not open, goes into a loop trying to load a deleted child’s profile. I have wasted hours trying to find the problem. My Profile is not showing up anymore and the unlock screen no longer is available.
Daily screen time limit doesn’t work for kindle
This app is only useful for viewing statistics and adding bonus time after scheduled blocking. But daily limit doesn’t work, at least on a kindle with a child profile.
Constant disconnection
I really like the idea of the Amazon Parent Dashboard, and when it works, it's a great tool. Unfortunately, it frequently disconnects from our Fire TV Stick and stops tracking screen time until I manually pause and resume the device. By the time I notice, the screen time counter starts at 0, making the tracking inaccurate.
I've gone through the recommended troubleshooting steps multiple times, confirmed both the app and devices are fully up to date, and the issue still happens daily.
I'd also love to see more flexibility when pausing devices. For example, I'd like to pause the TV while continuing to allow access to a Kindle, but the only option seems to be pausing all devices at once. Adding per-device pause controls or an exception list would make the parental controls much more useful.

Overly Complicated
I test and work with applications for a living and this one needs to be redesigned. The fact that you need another app to have this app work is absurd. This app was not designed with UX in mind. It is terrible! I have turned off the sleep function for my kid yet it still goes off in the morning.
Does not lock the age content
I keep having to go in and select the age content on everything. It wont lick it. Not even the amazon kids appl. So frustrating!!
Adding Audio Books
Why is it so hard to add a book to a kids profile from Audible that can be played on an echo dot!? It’s so hard and complicated when it doesn’t need to be.
Review
Can’t actually manage anything within the kids tablet itself from the app. Permission requests do not notify you as a push notification would and there is nowhere to locate the requests within the app itself. Does help manage time though do not know if it works effectively as nothing else seems to.
Screen time doesn’t work
I’ve set screen time to start at 8:30am and the app is recording 2 hours of screen time and it’s only 8:15 am.
I hate how difficult it is to use this app. I have 2 of them and one works fine so I do know how to set it up. But, everything is designed poorly for child safety.

Hard to navigate
Hard to navigate - trying to download a book and it blows my mind how hard it could be!
Pin RESET
It would be super helpful to reset the pin right here. I cannot connect to the internet to reset the pin on the iPad bc I don’t have the pin! Proceeding with factory reset.
Not as expected
What’s the point of having an app if you can see your child’s purchase requests in it, but if you want to approve and buy the books you need to “visit the parent dashboard” which is not accessible via the app. Instead you need to log-in through the browser (yes, through-the-browser!!!). Too poor.
