Good but issues

Orientation keeps breaking with new updates. There’s no obvious way to report faults with the app on mobile vie website or Amazon app. Need to leave it on autorotate and rotate the phone back and forth to get the page to fit on the screen every time I open the app.
Aside from that repeating issue it’s a functional app, though not hugely user friendly as it’s easy to accidentally highlight text and takes a number of clicks to unhighlight it before moving on.

Accessibility

Love the accessibility at my fingertips. Replacing the doom scroll.

I need a poo

I need a poo a big big big big one that’s tasty and delicious 😋

Rubbish free books

Too expensive for membership and the books on offer for kindle free are rubbish

Update Review

I have enjoyed this app for years. But I absolutely hate the new update. Everything we used before is gone and folders etc are moved and changed. I can’t find most of my books that I had yet to read and you have put my books of about 2000 all to unread. Not at all helpful.

Needs improvement

Need the option to purchase through the app too. Especially with it being the kindle app and not for anything else

Life saver

I would be absolutely lost without my Kindle. Thank you so much for letting me have the world at my fingertips.

New Update Is Terrible

The recent update for this app is TERRIBLE. Clicking on “more details” just opens up the exact same window you were on and clicking on the series button just opens up the most recent in the series. These navigation glitches make it so frustrating to use the app!! Do NOT update if you haven’t already.

I’m addicted to Kindle books

I use my Kindle every day. I have hundreds of books saved in my library and I can just take it with me. I love my theology books my recipe books, my Grace Livingston novels. It’s a fun way to keep your library!

Love

I love all the books at my fingertips!! Fantastic app!!

stop asking me to rate the app every 5 minutes

title says it all really. just stop it! I keep clicking not now but still it keeps bringing it up

Take a good app and make it worse

This was a perfectly functional app, which did what it was supposed to pretty well. Were there bells and whistles I’d have liked? Sure. But it worked.

Until the latest update. An update which suddenly actually updated weeks after I’d downloaded the update. I have no idea why.

Now, instead of easy toggling between all books and downloaded books (you know, the ones I’m reading right this very minute), I have to go to the filter, choose downloaded, go back to my layout. And then, if I want to see all my books, it’s back into another screen to choose filter, and back. Instead of a simple toggle, it’s four extra steps.

And for reasons best know to themselves, the developers have made it impossible to select “add to collection” for books which have arrived in my kindle app from outside the Amazon universe. You have to choose the collections view, choose add, search kindle for the book, add it to the collection, and return to your layout.

There are no efficiencies here, just silly changes which make kindle less seamless and more annoying.

I use it every day

This app is so convenient. I set my screen to red using color filters so I can read at night and fall back asleep. I also love reading book samples before I buy a book.

Surprisingly satisfying

Well that was quite a surprise. I had only recently learned of this book, and it was pitched with the caveat of “Just trust us. It’s weird but unexpectedly good.” Which has turned out to be so true!

I zipped through this book so fast, which has to be a testament to the pace, page-turning quality of the story. You know, it’s not like a plotting masterpiece or anything, but it keeps you engaged and you definitely want to find out what happens next.

I love sci-fi generally, love space travel and alien encounters especially. Love stories told from multiple perspectives, and this shifts between the two main characters—and honestly that’s a welcome enhancement to the sex scenes. It’s nice to hear it from both characters’ perspectives and experiences.

The prose is whatever, but that’s not why anyone is reading this book. For such a short book, and one so heavily dedicated to the sex scenes, the world-building of this ice planet is excellent. It’s immersive without being overly telly and explainy. I want to read more of this series as much for the chance to be back on this planet as for the hot sex between Georgie and Vektal.

And it is HOT. But it’s also sweet and charming and even sometimes humorous.

Too sensitive on the iOS touchscreen

This app can be great but what it really needs are functions or controls within the text of kindle books that are not so sensitive to incidental or unintentional touch. Words or long passages are highlighted, often in whatever color is selected, with brief, light contact, the book location scroll bar almost always appears from the slightest touch (which is inevitable while swiping or scrolling through the books’ pages, and this completely unnecessary bar of light appears at the bottom of the screen (maybe for reference) from any contact with the screen while reading that is apparently unable to be dimmed or removed. I read in dark mode so any additional light stands out. This issues are particularly bothersome when reading before bed or in a darkened aircraft during travel. I read before bed and the issues detailed above make reading and relaxing difficult.

Implement longer or repeated presses for touch functions to execute and get rid of that light bar at the bottom of the page, and if it has to stay, allow light intensity to be increased or decreased uniformly with the book text

All Good

Love It

Kindle

For me that hates books due of pressure but by school and parents that expect a bit to much from a child, now at 31 years old I find my self using this app for reading. Is relatively good to use since it allows the user to understand the words that we don’t usually use in everyday conversation with a build in dictionary, that allow you to understand in the moment. While with a book especially if not your native language you will have to look for it. So far I am enjoying my stay.

Great app

Use it all the time and it syncs seamlessly with my kindle

Upgrades suck

Stop asking me to review everyday. PlReading insights and challenges is just another store front. My home page is full books I have swiped past for a months purposefully. Book ranking is gone which really ticks me off
