Update
The ambi app has been great for years. But now it only plays for a couple of minutes before stopping and prompting you to upgrade to the paid version, making this version suddenly useless.
Simple. Perfect.
I’ve used this for years to help draw my mind away from worry and get to sleep. It’s also great to mask background noise when it’s Focus Time.
Neat Design, Works great
The ball bouncing around as a randomizer is pretty cool feature. The mixing works well, but I usually just use it for the brown noise alone. The only complaint would be to speed up the loading time and get that sweet healing brown noise injected right into my veins!!! Sheeeeesh*SHHHSHSHSHSHHHHHHHSHSH*

ADHD user might want watch version
I love the app, but I'd like to use it without my phone handy, via my watch. Could that be a thing?

Confused.
I bought the “full feature set” and cannot access the features. It tells me to buy again after attempting to set the timer, for instance…I tried purchasing it again assuming I’d get a notification that I had “already purchased” the upgrade but was charged twice. Please advise.

Update not so effective
I’ve been using ‘purple’ Ambi for a few years now and updated to the new version a few days ago - which I regret doing. The update has removed the simplicity of this app and added features that don’t add value. It no longer generates a simple white noise that helps me sleep. The white noise now has a bubbling sound within it that was not audible before. I can’t get the audio levels to make the same volume of sound, even when using the reverb function. Previously the app would go quiet when my alarm went off, but would automatically start again when I snoozed the alarm - now on alarm Ambi stops and the only way to get it start again is to crash the app, then wait for it to reopen, find my new setting and click play again.

Thank you for your feedback. The audio generation code has not actually been changed at all. Only the mixing code has been enhanced to make it more flexible. If you turn off motion, and move the circle to 9 oclock you have pure white noise, 12 oclock pure brown noise, 3 oclock pure pink noise and 6 oclock pure water noise. Center is a mix of all 4. The water generator has been there since day one, as an intregal part of the sound. The alarm issue you raised will be fixed in the next update. This app does a great job with various color noise, but seems like it has some potential where a more tonal noise selection might be generated.
Amazing!
I love this app it is better than white noise, pink noise or brown noise all which hurt my ears! This drowns out external noise and you can put it at a level you are comfortable with - it won’t hurt your ear drums and gives you a good nights rest. Only downside side I find is that it drains your battery.

Needs dark mode
Manages to still be one of the better noise generators available. I’ve paid for Pro but this app desperately needs a Dark Mode. Please!
Simple and perfect
Ive trieed all the fancy white noise apps there are. This one is my favorite. Its just simple and the noise is the best, its soft, not so high pitched and staticy like most "noise" apps, and mixes with other apps. The only tthingg I wish was to have option to tturnn off the bubble things so noise was even smoother without that tiny crackling in with it. But its still the smoothest and best one out there. Thankyou!!

Fantastic best white noise app ever
Beautifully simple and easy to adjust balance to find noise that suits. Perfect for getting to sleep. I just hope and pray it stays the same and dread it being updated because IMO it is perfect.

V.1.6 - Many thanks for the developer response. Sadly, for whatever reason, the quality of the sound is still no longer doing it for me, personally, as it was once so brilliantly. May I suggest, to really hit the spot, the option to shape the sound deeper, more sub-bass/low delta/guttural/bubbling/gurgling/warmer/womb-like - hard to put into words, sorry but I miss the lovely enveloping and comforting rumbles that put me to sleep so effectively before. The sound seems somehow more squashed, less full, relaxed and open. It's a shame, as it's now creating a stressy sense of unease. Sadly I can't listen to it any more.

I've tried all sorts of white noise in the past but find them too static and shhshy but this is a warm, natural and very comforting sound - kind of like being in a babbling, womb-like, spa/hot-tub or something. Great that it can be used in the background with other apps and very customisable. Really lovely, thank you so much! :)

New version issues
The new version has some serious issues, digital reverb has decreased in sound quality significantly. It’s hard to put your finger on it, but I don’t even use it even more. The equalizer resets your settings every time the app closes, rather than saving as it used to. Swiping from screen to screen is unresponsive most of the time. It has made me want to leave the app, even though I’ve been using it daily for a couple of years now. I hope that there are some fixes soon!

Thanks for the feedback. The reverb code is unchanged - only the depth was increased to make it more pronounced. I will be adding reverb controls as this is obviously a case of personal taste rather than quality. EQ not retaining settings was fixed in the latest version 1.6, as was swipe, sounds like you are using 1.5.
New version buggy
New version in 3 years buggy. Resets settings every time app is opened. Swiping from screen to screen doesn’t respond half the time. Shouldn’t have upgraded to latest on iPhone X

great app
i use it all the time to sleep. also can run it behind music while traveling as a noise canceling feature. the eq is a great feature. simple, effective, and useful.
This is fantastic but needs a few things...
The app desperately needs a sleep timer. This is one of the best ambient noise generators out there, and the reverb function is obviously a huge benefit, but people don't always consciously listen to this app....
