Worst camera cloud app ever, unusable, so done with Amcrest

Repeated login issues

I have had this for several months with two cameras but have decided to toss the cameras and buy some different brand. Repeat login issues prevent access and took over a day each time. I should have listened to reviews.

So bad it’s unusable

This is hands down the most dysfunctional, poorly designed software I have ever had the misfortune of using. Calling it β€œunfinished” would be generous β€” it feels completely broken. Maybe 5% of the features work consistently, and even that’s unreliable. It’s genuinely baffling that this app was approved for release.

Every single year they roll out a brand-new app instead of fixing the disaster they already created β€” and somehow each new version is even worse than the last. I now have five separate apps installed, each one barely capable of performing a single basic task. None of them are polished, stable, or properly supported. They don’t improve their software β€” they abandon it and replace it with something even more unusable.

The desktop software is just as clumsy and frustrating. It feels outdated, unstable, and carelessly built. What makes this even more infuriating is that the hardware itself is actually solid β€” but the software completely ruins the experience. The disconnect between the quality of the hardware and the incompetence of the software is staggering.

At this point, the company needs a complete reset of its software strategy and leadership. The current approach is chaotic, unprofessional, and actively damaging their reputation. This isn’t just bad β€” it’s an absolute embarrassment.

Cameras Vanished

How can this be? I have had 2 cameras for years configured and paying for cloud storage. Latency has continued to get worse and worse but they have worked.

Today I open the app and it says β€œ looks like you don’t have any cameras”??!!

To add, I have climb a ladder, then string a 30-40 foot physical cable to each mounted wireless camera??!!

Why is there no option to add wireless cameras to a cloud account without a cable????
