What’s the point of a room designer if I can’t actually design the room?
There are very, very limited options for room design. I could do almost nothing that I wanted because you can’t even change the dimensions of the furniture given. With doors and windows you can’t make them as narrow as you want, it’s capped at 2ft 6’. The only thing good about this is the walk about camera and how easy it is to create room dimensions. But that’s it, and other apps offer this same thing but for free. I should have read the reviews properly before I bought this; I was hasty and naively assumed that paying money means it’s high quality. I guess they got what they wanted, don’t do the same mistake I did.

Crashes my phone!!
DO NOT DOWNLOAD! The app forces you to login with Facebook, there aren’t any other options, which really annoyed me because I avoid Facebook at all cost. If I’d know this I wouldn’t have purchased. Still hoping to get my money worth, I clicked to login, Facebook says it can’t login in to the app. Then I go to check the app and it freezes everything on my phone!!! I’m forced to do a hard off and on. I gave benefit of the doubt and tried again… exact same thing happened. Waste of $0.99, worse now I’m worried it had a virus or something and messed up my phone!!

Not as custom as they try to say it is
I’m very disappointed. I bought this app thinking I’d be able to import my own furniture, decor, and paint swatches of items that I am *actually* planning to purchase for a house reno to see how it looks beforehand. There are actually only a few choices for items that are really limited… only 4 dining tables! This app is not recommended to people who would be using it to plan out a real project. Use it for entertainment at best.

The reviews misled me
I’m a bit annoyed with the reviews... I spent an entire night wasted on trying to make other apps work for me when this is exactly what I needed, but I was dissuaded by other reviews.
I’m not trying to do anything fancy, I just want something better than a notepad to plan and imagine the interior of my new home. This is it! Easy to use, enough to get the gist of what I’m trying to do... doesn’t cost $20 when all I’m trying to do is some simple plotting and planning - perfect. Why didn’t I come here first 🤦♀️

Needs work
Interface is great but the options are far too limited. For example I want to place a rug of a specific size in the room. There are only two rug choices in their library and they cannot be resized. I found a sofa I can resize but it won’t tell me the dimensions. Want to place a piece of furniture a certain distance from a wall...nope! Want a doorway without a door? You get the idea.

Doesn’t live up to the promise
I downloaded this app because it was recommended in a list of top 10 design apps. The primary feature that was lauded was the ability to designate specific brand name items. This was perfect for me since I had already purchased furniture (from major retailers) and wanted to try different room layouts before my furniture was delivered. The problem is that there are very few specific items to choose from and most of those are from retailers that I don’t know! I did give it two stars because the room configuration was simple and intuitive. I like that you can choose paint colors but the choices are very limited. It would be great if you could choose specific colors from a major paint supplier.

It’s a start but needs work
This program really needs a simple measuring tool or a grid overlay that corresponds to feet/meters. You can’t change the swing or style of the doors. And there are no generic furniture options that you can resize and recolor. You just have to plunk in a 4’ round table even if you really wanted to see what a 6’ oval looks like. It’s ok as a basic tool but it’s a very basic tool. Entirely useless for planning a kitchen.

Okay design app
This app is a decent start to something. But there are not enough brands, or design options. It is also not very easy to use. If the designers had put in more options and easier to use features, it could be great, but as it is, I would not recommend for those trying to actually design a house. It is okay if you are just using it for fun and not a serious project.

Potential but...
What attracted me was the possibility of choosing real furniture. Not an awful app but I thought I’d be able to insert any furniture with a web link. It only allows what’s in the app - very limiting.
For example, I wanted to insert a dining table from west elm and see what chairs would go well with the table in the space.
I thought it would allow me to insert these furnitures via web links for the table and the chairs and be able to add to the list of furniture in the app. No luck...money wasted.

Great for conceptualizing
This is good app. Took a little while. But I am actually trying to use in construction & I find it impossible to delete exterior wall sections (put in by mistake) NEED DELETE EXTERIOR WALL SECTION-as I’m now stuck w wall sections that don’t exist. I can’t make dimensions right.

Works great, but wish it had more.
I love this app! However, since I’m trying to design a house plan and not just one room, I find that I’m limited with what I can do. I wish I had the ability to add exterior walls (so I can create more than just a rectangular shaped house plan). Also, having the option to have a cornered stair case instead of just straight and the ability to design a second floor with it, would be great! Lastly, I’d love to be able to cover the fireplace with some stone or brick!

No Options
I like the premise and was having fun trying to figure out my room size. Same as others, though, moved on to furniture and was shocked by the lack of options. 4 bed styles. No washer or dryer, even. Very very minimal. Bummed I spent even 99 cents as I was led to believe this could help me design my new apartment before I even moved in. That’s not going to happen with this app.

Waste of time and money
I read a lot of great reviews for this app, but found it useless for my purposes.
First and foremost, you can’t put in any angled walls. I wanted to use it for my new place, but I have a bay window and several rooms with wall sections at 45 degree angles.
Second, and even worse, I could not figure out how to put in furniture with the dimensions of my existing items. I could only use the few styles loaded in the app, and that doesn’t help me figure out how to arrange my new space.

Easy, good UI, but limited options
I liked the look of the app and the user interface was simple and intuitive. I was able to quickly build a floor plan based on my home. However, I was disappointed by the limited number of furnishings I could place in the floor plan. All of the furnishings seem to come from vendors and it's a great idea, but there just aren't enough options yet. For example, there were only a three or four couches available to select from and none had the dimensions or resembled the type of couch I was going to use in my room. This was also the case with lamps, chairs, etc. It would be nice to at least have the option of building a simple custom furnishing so that at least the dimensions could be correct.

Love the design....but needs some work
Although I’m new to home design, I gotta say this app is pleasing to the eye however as a new designer I’d like to have the possibility to explore my many ideas and see them come to life but this app is more or less limited. Being an open minded person I stand to be corrected. Ex...I tried to create a sunken living room and the possibility doesn’t exist. I also tried to create a raised kitchen that was possible but I couldn’t furnish it because I couldn’t elevate the appliances and counters above floor level. These are just some amongst the many features I think should be added. The user should have the possibility to create. Nevertheless, I still love the app but make love it even more. Get creative.

Not Worth It
It took quite a bit of time to set up my room, since options for adding openings, patio doors, etc, are minimal. But worse, there’s no option to create your own furniture. For example, if you you want to design a living room, you have to choose from a set of 81 seemingly random options (the 81 items includes chairs, sofas, tables, everything) from specific manufacturers. You can’t resize or modify the pieces in any way. I bought the app to see if the furniture I was thinking about buying would fit in my room, so I found Amikasa to be a huge waste of my time.

Needs substantially more options
I love the idea of this app. It’s visually very nice but that’s where it ends. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get the room dimensions set up along with the windows and doors. I felt victorious when I got it all set and moved on to the furniture. Now, I’m not sure about all the reviews that rave about the options because there are frankly very little. The brands that are preloaded are minimal. I didn’t see an area that you could create your own custom sized furniture and I couldn’t resize the options they give you - plus, they don’t even give you the dimensions. So, what's the point then? After tinkering with the furniture I am now over the app and am looking for something that will give me what I was looking for - a room planner.

So good except...
It's such a great app really useful when, it lets me on for more than 1 minuet. It constantly crashes after you've used it for too long! Really frustrating when your trying to work and it deletes everything! But, so good when it works!
Great app, needs some things though
This app is great. However, it needs some improvements. Could you add in multiple indoor door models, and, allow for a more advanced way to make rooms, and could you also add making a house, not just one room with walls doors and one type of floor.
Also, this app would be great for PC VR. Such as, if it was released for free on the Oculus store for Oculus Rift + Touch controllers. You should also put it on SteamVR for the HTC Vive with Vive Wand controller support.

Great when it doesn't crash
I love the app.....when it works. It constantly kicks me out of the app right when I'm in the middle of doing something and loses everything I just did. Thought it was my internet but it does the same thing when I'm connected to friends wifi as well.
