The AminoChain app lets biomedical research participants track and share in the benefits of their participation in science. The app is free and gives users a simple, secure, and privacy-first way to participate and engage in research. **What you can do** - Join a participating study — enter a study code, create an account, and follow the study's guided steps. - View study details & progress — see the stages of your study, upcoming steps, and where you are in the process. - Provide consent — review study-specific, IRB-approved forms and consent from your device. - Surveys & tasks — complete study questionnaires and other tasks from your phone. - Connect your biosamples — securely link donated biosamples to your account by scanning a collection-kit barcode or entering the kit ID manually. - See the usage of your data and samples (coming soon) — see how your data and biosamples are being used for research. - Receive updates & messages — get updates and new opportunities from secure, in-app messages from researchers. - Benefit-sharing & rewards — receive rewards and compensation for study participation. Longer-form benefit-sharing coming soon. **Privacy and security** The app is designed to protect participant privacy. Sensitive links between identifying information and health data are protected with secure key management and user-controlled cryptographic keys. Participating studies must adhere to ethical guidelines and receive IRB-approval. The AminoChain app is currently accessible only to users enrolled in a participating study.
