Not finding our trains
The two times I’ve used this app, it doesn’t know where the train station I’m selecting is and doesn’t give correct arrival times or shows the route. The time is the same time on the clock which is an impossible situation. It doesn’t show the route on the map.
Cannot figure out how to work this
What is going on here? I cant figure out how to use this app. I want to go from Bakersfield to Oceanside. HOW.?

Hi there! Amtrak Destinations alerts you as you’re arriving at your station. When you get on the train at Bakersfield, open the app and select Oceanside. As you arrive, you will be alerted to let you know it’s almost time to get up.
Super simple but does the job
The Amtrak app and status are always behind real time so it’s good to know when I’m close so that I can get my kids to stop using the iPad and get ready to get off. Just what I needed.
Use Google Maps
You can see your location in Google Maps for free. Why pay to use this ?

Hi there! While Google Maps will show you location for free, Destinations is much more than that. Destinations will alert you as you are approaching your station so you never have to worry about missing your stop. We will also give you detailed information on your travels/commute. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
