A Life Saver
By linking to iOS devices together my iPhone, and my iPad, I can leave my iPad on the boat and it sends me email messages if I’m outside the designated area. I sleep way better at night when I set my Anchor Pro hasn’t failed me yet.
Hard to figure out
After two years of occasionally using this app, I Still haven’t figured out what the large and small circle is all about and the degrees on the large circle. Directions are not well worded to assist with this. I just make both circles 200’ and the large circle 359degrees and eliminate the odd shape. I usually forget ed t to set at anchor drop so I put in degrees to anchor and distance my chain is out, otherwise the alarm goes off constantly.

Does not work well for a sailboat anchored with 140’ of anchor rode as it swings around the anchor

Stops updating when phone put down
New major bug. If I put my phone down on a table, the app stops updating the Current Position & crucially the Anchor distance. 100% repeatable. Now can’t rely on an alert at night with phone beside the bunk or on charge.

I have had the App for about 5 years. Use it and another together for redundancy. There were no updates since 2022 but I kept my subscription as $4.99 wasn’t much. Today I got an email saying cost is increasing to $9.99 … looked at the version history and they did 2 small updates in 4 years. I cancelled and looking at other options.

History used to be on pro. Now subscription
I bought the pro version of this app for features such as anchor history (a track of your swings around your current anchor point). This was included in the pro version, but they have since taken it behind a subscription. Hate it when apps take away something you previously paid for.
Ripoff
Despite being a subscription based app, upgrade pricing is charged for what used to be included. It appears data is being sold to google for additional $$….

stopped working
This was originally a 5 star review. The audio alarm has stopped working… it is now hit and miss for an unknown reason. I checked with the developer but no response. App is unreliable and dangerous. Would not rely on this whatsoever.
Couldn’t be better
Very robust tool with everything you need to feel secure in all conditions. Helps us sleep at night knowing that we had anchor pro looking out for us.
