About
Anchor helps you calm down, think clearly, and say the right thing, exactly when you can't do it on your own.
It's 11pm. They replied with one word. Your body is already in it before your brain catches up, and you're about to send the message you'll regret.
Your meditation app helped this morning. Your therapist helps on Thursday. Neither of them is here right now.
Anchor is the one you open in the moment it happens.
FIRST, YOUR BODY
Nothing else works until that settles. Eight ways down, and Anchor learns which ones work for you.
Box breathing. Four in, four hold, four out, four hold. The pattern used to steady people before something hard.
The physiological sigh. Two breaths in through the nose, one long one out. What your body already does on its own after you've been crying.
Wind-down. A longer out-breath than in-breath, for when you have to sleep on it.
5-4-3-2-1. Five things you can see, four you can feel, three you can hear. You type each one, so you can't tap past it.
Shaking. What animals do to throw off a fright, and what your hands want to do anyway.
Ice. Cold on your face or in your hand, for when nothing slower is going to work.
Name it. One word for what you're feeling, and where in your body you feel it.
Reframe. See it from the other angle, once you can.
THEN, WHAT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING
Say it out loud or type it, the second it happens. Voice or text, no waiting and no appointment. Dump the raw version, all of it, instead of sending it to them.
Anchor names what got hit and why this one landed the way it did. It recognises the spiral from your past fights and tells you that's what this is, not proof of the thing you're afraid of.
THEN THE WORDS, ON THE REAL THING
This is the part that isn't a script. Anchor builds the rehearsal around the actual friction you're in, with the actual person. It shows you what it thinks this one is about, and you confirm it or swap it. It never assumes on your behalf, and never uses a name you didn't give it.
Then you say your line out loud. Anchor tells you how it landed. You go again until it comes out the way you meant it.
AND IT LEARNS YOU
Your people. What sets you off. Which technique works on you. What you said last time that worked. You're not starting from zero, and it gets better every time you use it.
LESSONS
Anchor also teaches communication properly: 34 courses, seven days each, 238 lessons, worked a day at a time with the actual words to use.
How to start a hard conversation without it sounding like an attack
How to say no without over-explaining or apologising for it
How to admit the part they're right about, which ends a fight faster than winning it
How to ask for a break mid-argument without it sounding like walking out
The four habits that predict a relationship ending, and how to stop doing them
Plus the moments everyone gets stuck on: being left on read, the double text, tone in text, the 2am spiral, when they pull away, when it ends.
WHOEVER IT IS
Your partner. Your mom. Your boss. Your kid. Your ex. The friend who keeps doing the thing.
Every time, Anchor helps you catch the spiral a little earlier. The point is that you need it less.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Anchor is not therapy and not a therapist. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything. It's a place to put the reaction and find the words, so what you say isn't the first thing that came out of your mouth. If you're in crisis or you don't feel safe, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.

What's New in Anchor
1.0.1
August 26, 2026
Fixes from the first few weeks, mostly things you wrote in about. • Breathing no longer reads out the word already on the screen, and you can always leave a session. • The check-in stops asking its question again after you've answered it. • When you subscribe, you go straight into the app instead of being left on the paywall. • Setup is shorter, so you get to the part that helps sooner. • Layout fixes on smaller iPhones, so nothing gets cut off. • Stability fixes throughout. Keep telling us what breaks. We read all of it.
