This app is in clear violation of the App Store Review Guidelines, specifically provision 4.5.4, which states: “Push Notifications should not be used for promotions or direct marketing purposes unless customers have explicitly opted in to receive them via consent language displayed in your app’s UI, and you provide a method in your app for a user to opt out from receiving such messages.” I did not opt in to receive promotional notifications, and there are no fine tuned controls to disable them while still letting functional ones (like rider bookings) go through.

App Failure
Would rate a zero if I could. The app is available for iPhone but it is developed only for the pro max or plus. It is unusable for a regular iPhone or iPhone pro. Get your act together and hire competent developers.

Angkas driver scammed me but there is no customer support with Angkas. The app has no internal support and the only option is email or hotline. If you email them they won’t answer and if you try calling they play some horrible hold music until eventually the call is hung up on you after 5 minutes. Very disappointing because they are more expensive than JoyRide and Moveit. Im deleting this app, it’s not worth the hassle. Stay away lol.

I was a victim of a scam from Angkas driver Gilbert Geroquia doing a fake completion and stealing my money. This company Angkas is 100% Deceitful and a scam. Beware of this Company and beware of this Driver Gilbert Geroquia he is a total scammer! Trust onl Joyride!

Their driver refused to deliver my package (even after accepting the order) but they charged me anyway and now after 2 weeks and back and forth with their customer support they still haven’t refunded me even though they said they would. This company and their customer service is a joke.

Thankful for this service
Being a foreigner it is nice to have an economical way to travel quickly around the Philippines despite the traffic. It is difficult on a motorcycle to use independent services because they try to overcharge you in 99% of the cases hoping that you don’t know how much the travel is. Angkas charges a fair price and even the drivers do t expect tips. I will continually use Angkas throughout my stay in the Philippines.

Worst version ever
For some strange reason, Angkas did not upgrade app from before. They simply force you to download a completely new app and this app is terrible. It doesn’t show you status and activity, it does not have any way that I can find to communicate with the driver, everything is completely non-intuitive and very difficult compared to their previous version. If they did not require you to change to the new one, I would not. Also, with this new app, you have to create a whole new account with all your information from scratch as if you’ve never used the app before.
