Does not work unless app is visible.
We tried the app while the boat was moving and all seemed okay. We set the anchor, set our position with the app, and went to sleep. The anchor was lifted by heavy overnight winds, and we drifted about 25 yards. The app only alarmed when I logged back into my phone to see if I'd set something incorrectly. Not helpful at all.

Probably the worst and most dangerous gps app I have ever seen
Bought this as Drag Queen not comparinle with IOS 11. Decided to test before sailing in my back garden (thankfully). Sat in a deck chair, this app had me wandering around the neighbourhood, plus or minus 40-50 m, during ten minutes of sitting sipping a beer. Terrible, terrible, terrible. If I had been skeeping on anchor, the alarm would have woken me, I would have shat myself, and all for no reason.

Didn't work well for me
Each time I woke the phone up to check the app it thought I'd move 150 meters and sounded the alarm. I was attached to a mooring buoy and hadn't moved anywhere.
