This app has been so amazing! It’s so easy to learn and use! And it lets me do so much with my RGB critter BT flashlight. I can make new modes and new color combos, which I do for every festival I go to! It helps me match my fits, my style, and my vibe! I also have made a couple modes that are just so pretty to the eye. So overall I’m really happy with this app. I highly suggest getting yourself a fiber optic attachment for your bit whip if you haven’t yet! You won’t regret it

Practically Perfect
The RGB Critter is probably one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The Critter itself is like the world’s funkiest flashlight that can transform into practically any light tool you need. I’ve used mine as a whip, baton, staff, jump rope, and a flashlight as well. The batteries are long-lasting, and the new Modular Caps make the handle virtually impervious to damage.

If you’re thinking about purchasing a light whip, I would highly recommend getting Ants On A Melon! It has incredible colors, settings, and brightness! It’s easily customizable, giving you a one of a kind look, and it’s great for beginners to advanced. The whip itself is such a versatile prop, and it’s so fun to explore the many different ways to use it.
Compared to other whip brands I’ve used in the past, it’s far more durable. Ants On A Melon as a company is great too; outstanding customer service and innovations! The new Bluetooth flashlight with this app is amazing! It makes it so easy to customize! Highly highly recommend!

The Best Color-Changing Flashlight Out There
As a professional photographer specializing in light painting, I can confidently say that this flashlight is my favorite tool. With 16 million colors, it’s incredibly bright and vibrant. The build quality is exceptional, and the rubber grip is very comfortable. I use this light for hours at a time, and it performs flawlessly.
The flashlight also has a thread for attachments, which I use all the time. The app is intuitive and easy to use, pairing seamlessly with the flashlight. One of my favorite features is the color sliders, which allow me to replicate any color and save them to a color palette. This single feature is a game changer for me.

Changing the game
With this app compared to its predecessors it’s easily a game changer in light painting. AOAM was already my favorite flashlight and this app gets rid of all the pain points. It’s so easy to not only change colors and set up custom patterns but the ability to switch strobe and brightness intensity quickly is SO NICE. I’m jazzed how much this app is going to make the creative process even easier.

Fantastic Upgrade
This app is super easy to navigate and I haven’t had any issues so far! The creators have made is exceptionally easy to create a custom mode, playlist, change settings, etc. Overall, I am highly pleased with the app and appreciate its simplicity! I do wish the app would save your settings though.

As a flow artist who has been using the Bitwhip from Ants On A Melon for a few years, I was throughly impressed with the new RGB Critter BT app and overall performance!
The app is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate between the AOAM playlists and your own.
I love how customizable it is! Creating modes and pre-programming playlists is incredibly easy with the app. The intuitive interface allows you to easily select from a wide range of colors, adjust brightness and set up sequence to create stunning light display.
The DIY feature on the app is fantastic, enabling endless creative possibilities! It was amazing to create a mode with the different colors of my bodysuit for performances at festivals!

Loving the app!!
Gone are the days of cycling through button presses on the OG Critter (which I still use and love by the way), the Critter BT Edition paired with the app eliminates all of that. Creating custom colorways are easier and faster to create, plus they have new presets that will work with any light painting or dance performance. Thanks AOAM for all that you do for the light painting community. #AOAMARMY

There is no doubt that the new update to control your light-whip via Bluetooth with the app is next level. The new upgrades on the battery itself are also amazing from the battery cap and the silicone not slipping. There is nothing better than AOAM! LOVE THIS WHIP!

A revolutionary flashlight/app
I’m a veteran light painter—I’ve experimented with everything to DIY tools to some of the most expensive gear out there. In all my years, the BT critter is easily my favorite tool I’ve used thus far. The range of options for colors and modes is amazing, and being able to simplify all of these options from an easy-to-use app makes it all so streamlined and user-friendly. Previously with the original RGB Critter, you had all of the options still available, but unless you used it often, it was easy to forget some of the button sequences and combinations. Using the BT’s, it’s so easy and fast to switch colors and modes mid-exposure for more advanced and detailed light painting photos. I’m not a flow artist, but I know that this powerhouse of a flashlight, combined with the ease of use of the app, along with the many attachments AoM makes, make the BT a dream-tool for flow artists as well. Anyways, couldn’t be happier with this! Thanks AoM!🫶🙌

Awesome way to control a great light!
I’ve been using Ants on a Melon products for years but this app is a complete game changer. In a matter of seconds you can create custom patterns, with custom colors. I love being able to create my folder of patterns and name them for quick retrieval. Even if you own older versions of the Critter, it’s worth it to get the updated BT critter for amazing features this app provides.

Really cool app. Suggestion to improve it.
It will be cool to get the new flashlight in the future because it’s pretty much everything I thought of when working on a flashlight design in the past.
The app is really cool and allows for much more extensive customization of the flashlight than you could do with the previous one.
My suggestion is to update the app so users can see an in-app preview of playlists and effects as they are constructing them.

The RGB Critter BT Flashlight App is so user-friendly! It’s super easy to create color modes and playlists. As the first app for Light Whip, it’s easier than ever to program full lightshows into my BitWhip & play them straight off of my phone. There are tons of pre-set modes already loaded in the app which makes it really simple as a flow artist to pick up an Ants prop & go. You can also edit those pre-set modes if you want a starting point for your own creations, which saves so much time. The DIY mode builder has a lot of options while still being super streamlined and straight-forward to navigate. I really love the HUGE library of colors to choose from when programming – it’s awesome for matching colors and themes for events. The wireless connection makes controlling the RGB Critter BT super smooth, particularly for costuming applications. I’m so SO excited to swap modes & playlists using my phone for fiber optic costumes! I can’t wait to try the app while Light Painting! My long exposure shots will never be the same, I’ll be able to get way more of a variety of shots in a session with the app being so quick. If you’re thinking about getting the RGB Critter BT Flashlight, do it!
