Worst customer service, not recomendad

Untrained staff and negligent

Glitchy

The app is reasonably slow on the latest iOS. Statements regularly do not appear “please try again later”. Aside from the app lagging, payments take up to 3 days with bank transfer to reflect so you need to be several days ahead or you’re caught off guard. Lots of refreshing needed. I like ANZ overall and I wish they were better but it is the lagging that has made me choose to go elsewhere :/.

Expenses breakdown

What happened to the breakdown of expenditure? Not only has this very handy service disappeared but the historical value has also gone. Very disappointed that ANZ didn’t think this was a useful service and deleted it in one of its recent updates.

Account Balance Preview

Love the App but why did you remove the account balance preview on the Apple Home Screen???? It’s so frustrating. Please can you look at brining this back. Why can’t this be an option with a setting for those that do not wish for their balances to show?

Subtly mediocre

Try finding your BSB or account number without having to download a PDF statement. #FAIL

OSKO payments to ANZ are not reflected until you crash out of the app and restart it. In 2026.

Seems to have a lot of effort put into upselling you things but not much in day to day usability.

Useless

Went into branch to connect to app. They couldn’t do it so I needed to phone help desk. Couldn’t get past the id required because the bot asked for an app pin which I did not have. Waste of time

Worst banking app

This app lacks a ton of basic features that other banking apps (even ANZ plus) have.

1. Refresh - I have to kill the app and reopen to get my latest balance.
2. Card details - there is no way to reveal card details.
3. Notifications - there are no notifications when there is a transaction or deposit on my account.

I only use this banking app: I have another major Bank's app, which is so difficult to use, I don't use it.

In contrast, this app is superb. It is intuitive to use and I pay all my bills with it. This is very useful, as I have great difficulty going out and about.

I must applaud the staff who answer the messages I leave and any telephone help has been rendered with efficiency and courtesy.

I would not be without this app and I highly recommend it.

This app is TERRIBLE

I have two issues with this app; one recent since the update, and one longstanding.

The most recent app update has removed the ability to use FaceID to log in. Nowhere in the app can I allow this. I used to be able to use it but can’t. This is such a basic function I cannot believe you guys have mucked this up. FIX IT.

My long standing issue is regarding accessing CGU insurance which I have Via my ANZ accounts. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get access to details about my insurance via the app and the mobile site. You are constantly sent in a loop and can never actually log in.

Given this is the only way to access it, currently the only way to get any information is via a PC.

In this day and age this is, again, a basic app function. Your UX is the worst of any banking app

Terrible compared to Westpac

Having been a Westpac customer for many years, we came back to ANZ purely for the rates. However, the app and the products feel like we’ve gone back a decade. Very little flexibility and a poor feature set when compared to Westpac, almost enough for us to move back. Very surprising from one of the big 4.

The worst service

Just took my money and closed my account. Support service raise their voices and do nothing to solve a problem.

iPad problems

Like a lot of others, I am having trouble with using the app on my iPad since an update around 3 weeks ago , I am unable to access the first account, can only see the current balance.

It would be useful to receive notifications when a debit/ credit has been processed.

Other than this I am enjoying using the app.

Latest iPad version

The latest iPad version of this app has put the title “Accounts” on top of the name of the first account in the list and tapping the right hand arrow to look at the transactions does nothing ☹️. I am still able to look at the transactions for the other accounts in the list.

Latest update 20/5/2026 still has not resolved this problem 😠.

It’s now 9/6/2026 and you still haven’t resolved this problem with the app on iPad Pro 13” M4, makes the app not really useable ☹️.

Laggy

Recently this app became very laggy. Everything take a second or 2 to open. I thought after updating the app it will be fast again but still same. I use an iphone 14 pro device. ANZ Plus app run smoothly but just this app

Unable to open account on 1st row

Recently the word “Accounts” is overlaid OVER the first listed account in the app. I cannot open the account to view transactions. This is only the case in my up to date ipad, not in my android phone.

Running very slow on iphone 16e

App is extremely slow when logging into account. also when typing the lag makes it almost unusable. Looking forward to this being fixed as being a small business owner i frequently use this app on a daily basis and am finding it very difficult to use right now.
