Superb field guide to desert floral glory
If you're a desert desperado or a floral fanatic, trust me, you're going to love this. It's an easy-to-use field guide to the wildflowers of the Anza-Borrego and nearby regions, with multiple BEAUTIFUL photos of every plant, hence the quite hefty download size. The botanical notes are rich in detail, and it's easy to lose an hour in this app from the comfort of your armchair even if you're a hundred miles from the splendor of the Californian deserts. Minor quibbles? The UI design isn't as sleek and polished as it could be, to say the very least. It feels like a web page v1.0 circa 2003 with frames and clunky square buttons. But the photos and plant data are rich and rewarding, and if you want to understand and make sense of the landscape around you when you visit the jewel that is Anza-Borrego, you won't find a better companion than this app.

Would be awesome if there were a way to tick off flowers we have seen.
Will not download unless WiFi?
Odd. Message says I need to connect to a WiFi network as it’s 150 MB. I tried the WiFi at the new Borrego Springs Library, super slow. Download unresponsive. Went outside to connect to Verizon data at 50x the WiFi speed. Seems to not allow cellular data downloads.
