Really bad app

If you are using a new car it will just show the old car, even if you delete the old car it will still show the old one when you are trying to pay for parking. Twice I have to delete this app and download it again. Unfortunately this is the only app I can use at my train station.

Irritating!

The app always appears to forget the login and password after it has done an update, which then inevitably requires two attempts to reset.

Garbage

I just don’t understand why this app is so bad. I had an account, now I can’t reset as no email is received and I can register as no SMS confirmation is sent. Why my hospital decided on this terrible app I’ve no idea. It’s garbage.

Avoid unless totally necessary

This is the world’s worst parking app. It is not linked to their website. Reset your password doesn’t work.

Its UI reminds me of an old Sony Ericsson app. It’s just got giant tabs with no sense to layout.

The user flow is counter intuitive. You have to hit everything twice.

The backend hangs, times out and lacks real confirmation.

I mean come on. A software engineer can build better than this in one afternoon with AI coding.

It’s so bad they should be paying you to use it

Truly awful app

Very complicated UX to park a different car to the usual, and defaults Apple Pay to my Amex card rather than the payment cards that are accepted. When you’re inevitably in a rush for a specific time the whole thing is designed to frustrate so you get a parking penalty notice.

No registration challenge

I guess they have no incentive to make it easy to pay for parking.

Useless

Absolutely useless app, can’t reset password, doesn’t recognise park location codes and charged me for a whole day even though I parked for 1 hour

Designed to fail

This app has not worked properly for over a year. I can’t change necessary parameters to pay what I need so i pay more. Disgraceful

Rubbish

This is the worst app ever made, you can’t even get into it

Yet another terrible parking app

What is it with parking apps - why are there so many of them, and they are all so awful?
This is yet another example of the genre, with all the clunky infuriating characteristics that we have come to expect.
Park somewhere else if you can, rather than subject yourself to Apcoa’s execrable app.

Doesn’t work half the time

8 out of 10 times shows API error

Can’t use a password manager

This app stops you pasting into the confirm password input on sign up. This means you can’t use a password manager, making it very insecure.

Worst app

The most infuriating app to use to parking.

I would rather drive to the next car park that doesn’t use this stupid app

Horrible app

Unnecessary and in fact detrimental application serving the sole purpose of increasing stress and complexity of parking.

Context: I parked at my local train station leaving plenty of time to pay for parking, but where I expected a simple ticket machine, I was met with no choice but to use this application. I then had to sit and register everything on the train whilst fearing I may get a parking ticket. Verification codes and seemingly limitless steps meant the process took 20 minutes (more time than I’ve spent cumulatively in my life paying at the machine). Additionally the end of the process simply resulted in the app telling me that my parking location did not exist (I typed in the 4 digit code displayed on the sign at my location). No amount of refreshing or reloading the app could change that.

I finally frustratedly gave up and will now just have to hope that I don’t get a parking fine. After some consideration, however, I came to terms with this possibility, understanding that paying a fine is an excellent subscription to avoid using your application. I suppose
I am now using Alcoa pro for £70 per session to avoid all the unnecessary steps and glitches. I shall continue gladly choosing this option in future and recommend everyone else does the same.

Utter trash

Went to park in Tewkesbury Abbey and it couldn’t locate the nearest location (it’s the only Apocoa for some distance). It then returned no search results for Tewkesbury or Abbey. I finally found an old booking to ‘book again’ which charged me for 2 hours, but car park only required payment for 45 mins before it was free and the app wasn’t clever enough to adjust for this. Awful awful awful.

Useless.

Can’t find any locations. Plug in the location number. Nothing. Try finding nearby locations. Nothing. As if Leeds station wasn’t already bad enough

Useless App

I tried to pay before leaving my location today and no stable internet connection. I spent 25 mins in the rain trying to sort out payment without success! So now parking stay has escalated to 2 hrs instead of 1hr after the 1/2 hr free parking! Then I left the car park and tried to pay using the late payment method, took over an hour trying to do this and had to reset my password twice as kept receiving emails saying I need to reset my password. Finally got to the payment page and all my details came up and now I have the constant message that my email is wrong. Checked and it is entered correctly and APCOA have even sent me several emails on it today asking me to reset my password!!!! I have now sent them an email from the same email address to say this is ridiculous and I have tried to pay but the system won’t accept my payment due to not recognising my email! I have had an auto reply on the same email!!!. I will be enraged if I get a fine plus I have now wasted over 2 hrs trying to sort this out. Useless App!!!

Update ruined it

Was perfectly fine before the recent update, now a buggy nuisance that results in it taking two to three times longer to pay. Hopefully they iron out these bugs soon

Poor customer experience

This used to be ok for single day parking. Used consistently for several years. However a change has been made preventing single day parking resulting in only option is to buy a weekly parking ticket. Please do something to fix this.

Poor design of recent upgrade

The recent upgrade is a significant backwards step in terms of design. I’m using an iPhone with larger font size and the text overlaps the “buttons” on the home page. Perhaps more comprehensive accessibility testing needed.

In terms of features, I regularly park the same vehicle at the same location but for varying durations (surely not an unusual use case). It would be great just to be able to change number of days for a new session rather than having to reselect the vehicle and duration every time.
