Resurrection of Appbot Riley after installing new battery which wasn’t all that difficult. If you find one of these you will most likely need to do the same. I had forgotten how much fun this thing is and it’s practically.
Refuses to reconnect to WiFi
Won’t go past connecting to it’s self. Doesn’t allow next step of picking a network.
Can’t hook up to WiFi
The app doesn’t work , I can’t get past the part where it shows how to connect through my cell app my home WiFi and put the password but beyond that I can’t have access to controls and the app won’t allow me to move further .
why is the soft freezing up now?

Please make the cellular work instead of using Wi-Fi across the whole world? It really killed me that it doesn’t use cellular or it won’t use cellular they can only use the public Wi-Fi or some type of Wi-Fi to get to it. App bought Riley smart home safety robot people can you fix this little problem?

This robot is the best and I really recommend you to buy it has night vision you can control it AND you can hear and talk on the robot! Awesome and wish I could do more then 5 stars.
Doesn’t work anymore
For the past few years I have enjoyed having this robot but now it doesn’t seem to work any more. I keep getting an error message saying my robot is off but clearly it’s on! The charger thing doesn’t charge my robot and I can’t get in touch with customer service to help me!

I got a new iPhone with the new firmware now I’m not about to Connect to any of my 4 robots

Went bad
Quit working after a few months and had to stay on the dock. The manufacturer would never reply to me. Then a few months later it would not log on to the app even when on the base charging. It got what others have called the blue loiter of death. Good idea. Poorly built or needs updates which never came.

Back working again finally
Ok after talking to customer service I now know how to connect my tmobile iPhone 7s plus to my appbot Riley. It's simple and easy all you have to do is put your phone in airplane mode and then hook up the robot to the app with Wi-Fi and then once holed up go back into settings and turn off airplane mode and your done easy steps to get going again. I hope this helps others.

Constant connection problems when trying to use remotely just does not work.
Wow great
This little guy (Riley) is perfect. I bought it so my grandson could with his pad drive up and visit and talk with Grandpa. He does it well at 4-1/2 but not everything. As for me I can drive around and check the house whe away. The app is perfect with every plan thought of even night vision. The one thing I wish it had was a close the app button, it feels kind of strange just pushing the desktop button to leave. Oh one other thing it needs is to hold infrared on at night when watching the home for motion, it detects motion yes but it’s nighttime.

Pretty cool
First If you were getting that weird screen that says to go to their support page, their support page offers no help. I spent two days trying to get connected and then I finally figured out if you go into your settings and turn off cellular data for appbot Riley then connect to it via Wi-Fi when you go in you will get a message that says appbot is not connected to cellular. Ignore it and proceed (If you don’t have an option to proceed Humour it and click on settings (be sure it is still turned off) if not turn off cellular data again and go back in the app. It let me right in).
