Worst app ever
I don’t understand what is going on with this app. You can’t even get compensated for a project because of the app is not working properly so that you can get compensated. I feel like this is not fair. Customer service is not doing enough so I couldn’t get compensated for the Study smh
App crashes over and over
Horrible I got a project and have plenty of storage and cleared all my cache and data and the app crashed 15 times trying to capture videos

They steal your identity and you will never work on projects, it always says you are ready to start but it is not the case. Check Trustpilot reviews..
I entered a bad review before due to not understanding the process.
I completed a task and there is no sign of it on my profile or my hours, well that was my fault for not reading the entire process of checking for quality work. Appen doesn’t accept low quality work and I respect that about the company. They take the time to check for quality in the work you submit and that takes. So while you’re waiting, dive into another project. Great company so far and I will continue to work projects for Appen.

They will not pay you for completed work!
I completed a task and there is no sign of it on my profile or my hours. It’s like they took the task option off the sight for me to work it showing I did it but no pay or evidence that I completed it. This company is a rip off. I created a ticket and they’ve ignored it but removed it from my profile. These people are thieves don’t waste your time.

Problems connecting to Appen
Seem to be recurring problems connecting to Appen servers. This is limiting the time available to login and complete tasks making it difficult to complete tasks within designated timeframe
Crowd Gen is a scam these days
Crowd Gen, used to be a W2 job training models, enhancing search algorithms. Long gone are those days. I opted to try Appen and a few other CrowdGen sites. Most of them pay to not be considered an outright scam, but it’s obvious these companies prey on the desperate and will exploit your free labor by having you do “tests” that is live work.
If you work too fast also you’ll be kicked off projects.

How is this site even running
Like every other review, I have been qualified for multiple projects for months now and have not received any instruction except for one (last week) that didnt even pay me, and was extremely confusing. I was supposed to be paid per “unit” but after completing one unit, they said they had no more work for me, and never paid me. I dont know how this company is not shut down yet. This whole site is extremely shady and literally provides you with no work or pay. Contacting customer support is like contacting unknown aliens. I am fully convinced this is a money laundering operation or something, because all the reviews are the same. No one is getting jobs or getting paid. I highly recommend to stay away from this site. I gave them all my information for literally nothing and they’re probably selling it or using it maliciously. Please be cautious.

The app is a failure so far
I have been freelancing with appen since 2020, things were perfect until you migrated to the new interface. Applying for Jobs on the mobile app always fails, I have to resort to a pc. Tasks never load for jobs that are meant to be completed on the mobile app. The web app constantly says vpn detected regardless of what pc i use. PS: i have never used a vpn on my pc. Appen is almost not worth the trouble anymore.

What’s the point
This app is worthless. The entire platform is glitchy but that won’t be a problem bc you’ll test for projects then wait weeks upon weeks for an email that will never come. Or my favorite is how their will be available jobs but when you click “work this” it’ll say in bold letters on the next page “sorry there are no tasks here to work!” However the available jobs will stay on the page for days. It’s a joke, seriously.

Disappointed
I signed up for this over a year ago, possibly longer. Every time I tried to sign up for a job I would get accepted and that’s as far as it would go. I never received any of the follow up to proceed. After a few months of this I stopped applying. Fast forward to now. I decided to give it another go to see if they have improved. I download the app again and login only to have it crash on me every time I try to apply for a job. It worked for one or two jobs and then just crashes now. While I was filling out the paperwork again it kept resetting on me, voiding all of my answers and making me have to start over. It is all very frustrating and disappointing as I was looking forward to participating.
