People don’t want to download an app to see an invitation.

Unable to see the INVITE list sucks, you can see who RSVP’d but if you send via message specially in group messages or individual text messages you have to go back through text to figure it out
Forced Guests to Login to RSVP
Great idea, terrible execution. You are forcing everyone to go through logging in to their Apple account to RSVP, HORRIBLE USER EXPERIENCE. Dumb. Remove that requirement and this instantly gets at least 4 stars.
Not for inviting more than a few people.
The only reason to use an app like this is to make it easier to have a reasonably large event or party.
But even if you are an Apple evangelist, there is no way to upload a spreadsheet or group that you’ve made in Apple’s Contacts or any other spreadsheet.
Instead, you get to pick those people one at a time. But only if you have everyone’s emails. For everyone that you text, you get to do those

You get frustrated by the time you have already put into the effort - and think that no one would ever put out an app without seemingly testing in real live users before you launch it 25% baked.
Another problem is that if you have a fairly large contacts file (of maybe a few thousand or something)…it is sluggish and makes the interface even less useful.
Want to share hosting your event with another person? God love you if you are an Apple user but are in google’s Gmail system. You can get it to work…but it is easy to make it fail. And fail.
Why would I bother to write such a lousy review? Because this is APPLE, and they have the ability to hit it out of the park, but not the ability to actually put someone on a simple task like this that understands real user needs.
Simple doesn’t mean that you get to ignore user interface needs that make an app actually powerful and worth using.

Needs some work
The app is nice that it is simple and relatively easy to use. I feel like you should be able to add more than one cohost. The other thing that is bothering me is you cannot see who is invited until they respond or open the email. Which makes it very difficult to know if you have invited everybody that you want to invite, making that visible would be incredibly helpful. I had already sent out a bunch of invites so now I can’t change the app and use a different one. Therefore, I have no idea if I have invited everyone we’re supposed to.

Good but very buggy
I like the app overall, but it’s full of bugs, like modal windows closing for no reason, people outside the Apple ecosystem who have trouble logging in, etc.
I always tell people that Apple makes quality, but this is really subpar for you guys. It’s got to be better than this.

AVOID - Straight broken
More than half of the people I invited to my birthday party never got the invite… So this app directly messed up my party. Also the app only seems to take emails not phone number like evite does. Never using again maybe the worst thing Apple has ever made!
Average
A very average app. I sent out 30 invites and most users struggled to make sense of the invitation or to reply. Also in the invite I created I couldn’t see a list of who I invited or see the rsvp status. I ended up having to send a stand text message as a backup.
Glitchy. So many problems…
I used it once for my son’s birthday party and it worked great… but after that it has been soooo buggy! Whenever I send a new invite, it still shows my son’s party, even after I deleted it! The RSVP list doesn’t update well for non-Apple users. Not a good app.
Not user friendly and very inconvenient
I like the idea of this app. The invitations are not easy to make or manage unless I use log in through the browser on my laptop. Adding guests is not as easy as it seems and once I added the emails of my guests, none of them received the invitation! I had to send the invitation via text - on top of that, my guests had to sign in using their iCloud accounts. Some of my guests don’t have iCloud accounts so I had to send screenshots of the invitation. I’ve had a bad experience using this app and I don’t plan on using it in the future. I may need to find another platform.

Ineffective
I’d like to give this 5 stars but when you try to send attendees a note or make changes to the event - the system says it is sending an update and no one gets it. Not even the people who have iPhones. The app for non-Apple users is inconsistent as well.
Buggy, lame
The app does have some nice features like playlists and photo albums. But the way it interacts with people via their Apple account or email or whatever sucks. People do not want to use their iCloud emails for stuff. I want to be able to text people and do a push notification from the app if they have it.
The send message feature to individual guests is broken/ can’t do anything.
It doesn’t keep track of guests you’ve invited unless they access the invite.
If you have approve guests on, there’s a 2 step process to get them accessing the invite.

Who uses email?
Look Apple. The app is amazing. However, I have 0 idea who has not responded because I don’t know people’s emails. I have to cancel a party because I’m sick, and it is difficult when the people who haven’t responded are labeled with emails. I don’t want them showing up when the party is no longer happening!

Forces invitees to enter email or login
Users are not able to view the invite without entering an email or logging in. This discourages people from opening the invite at all, rendering this whole app useless.
UI and Capability are all great, but why so much friction?
I love the idea, and the application works well. But why if I use this to invite someone they also need the application? If it’s an apple-native application, I would expect that clicking the link I sent them via text will immediately take them to the application. Like if someone sends me a calendar invite, it will go straight to Calendar. It should be the same for this app. I shouldn’t require all my invitees to go to the App Store and download an app. It seems to make the app non-trustworthy. Other Apple user friends even question the validity or legitimacy of the app simply because clicking the link doesn’t surface an apple native experience, but rather prompts them to log into their iCloud or download an app, they didn’t even know Apple created. Invitees suspect a privacy breach as soon as they tap the link. Either make this a trusted application that comes pre-downloaded on Apple devices, or remove it altogether.
