Widget malfunction
I have my podcast app in the bottom right of my screen in that widget that takes four. Instead of having the podcast I’m currently listening to as what we play if I hit play it’s always putting some new podcast there

Funny. Many conservative podcasts — on the Apple podcast app— are forever “temporarily unavailable” — meaning, NEVER.

So frustrating. Can no longer link to Bloomberg subscription. Tried uninstalling both apps and starting over. The spinner icon wins every time.
Deletes my downloaded episodes that I haven’t listened to yet
I download old episodes of podcast. I have all the settings to remove old downloads turned off and the app automatically deletes my downloaded episodes constantly
Terrible UI, like apples other recent projects
Every time I pause a podcast I have to go back into the app and find the episode again to resume play. Also when an episode ends it doesn’t go to the next. You have to scroll back down 200 episodes to find the next unless you are queuing them. How does Apple fail so bad at UI in this day and age ? The music app is trash too. Steve Jobs rolling in his grave.

Ads are too intrusive
The fact that podcasts know the general location of were I live is creepy and makes me not want to use this podcast app anymore. How does a podcast know the city I live in if the location data is off? Likely going to make the switch to something less intrusive.
Starts automatically in my car
Totally irresponsible programmer. My podcast starts automatically in my car even when I do not have the podcast app open very frustrating. Why would anybody write such a thing

AVOID THIS APP! Zero attention paid to simple playback issues - on a podcast app!
Playing/pausing and auto download settings are all an utter mess after recent changes. They introduced video and broke audio months ago - awful awful stuff that they continue to ignore

podcasts with video keep freezing
the app stops working when i try to fast forward and rewind during a podcast that offers a video version. this happens regardless of whether i have video on or not.

Buggy!
Extremely buggy since they started offering the video versions, not sure if that’s related or coincidence. Those podcasts that have them (I only listen to audio) will start at the wrong times, won’t let me advance, will play from two different points simultaneously, just a mess. A huge regression.
Very poor
I find this app incredibly frustrating and annoying, it is so haphazard in its layout it seems as if its design was intended to be confusing and irritating.
As with the new iOS update, simplicity in design of use and logical functionality have gone out of the window!

This app is terrible. I’ve downloaded so many podcasts only for the downloads not to save and then I have to do it again.
Download issues
Update: downloaded app again a few months later and still cannot download half the podcast episodes to my iPhone. I have given it 3 tries but now I’m done. Used to be a great app, but not anymore. Spotify from now on….
