Essential feature removed
There is now no way to find podcasts similar to the ones you enjoy, rendering this app useless to me. Spotify here I come.
Annoying
The new mac app pop up few times every day, to force you to login, even though not using it, very Annoying , and stop people from doing real work!
WORST APP EVER
This app literally is unable to continue playing a podcast if I close my phone and then come back to it. Insane levels of incompetence going on at Apple to provide this kind of service.
Bring back playlists
The up next feature sucks if I’m re-listening to a series it automatically jumps to the most recent unplayed episode of something instead of just continuing onto the next episode. This is extremely frustrating used to be able to make a playlist custom to where I could have several different things discussing the same topic in a group.
Or a 10 part series in a plate that I can ensure that plays an order without interruption

Ai Translator
Please add ai- powered translation and voice dubbing to Apple Podcasts , similar to YouTube’s automatic dubbing. Users should be able to to choose a language and listen to translated audio or read translated transcripts. This would make podcasts accessible to a much wider audience.
1 Star App bloated to 5 and back on its way to 1
Want to leave a 1 star review on an 11 PART, commercialized tragedy about a foul rascist murderer monster in a podcast you actually REALLY like? Well you can't!!
Apple freezes comments, you can't talk about their top earners. Apple even freezes aggressive fans throwing temper tantrums trying to protect the bloated spectacle of a series. Pure comedy!!

Apple has promoted the exact same plagiaristic/corporate garbage for years and you will look at those whether you like it or not. You aren't fooling anyone. Terrible updates - glitches for the past 2 months
I might move to Spotify, they are that bad. If your app dev team couldn't figure out how to do video don't roll it out it is that simple. The video optioned podcasts lose their place and restart mid ad breaks, or when you come back to them after pausing and you scroll the time to where it should be and it doesn't even change what's playing, still from the start. This is with or without toggling the video.

Video Podcasts
Please fix the video podcasts. They constantly stop, restart at random points, are out of sync and frequently play multiple layers of audio at once (commercials over the podcast itself.) Even when video is not used, these podcast types have become unplayable.
Deleting downloads
This app for the last few months has been deleting my downloads before I have a chance to play them. Please fix or I will need to switch apps.
Did you break it?
Apple Podcasts is currently broken. Probably since the video feature was added. Podcasts often start from the beginning then it’s difficult to scrub. Connections to Apple CarPlay is slow and buggy. Do better
Easy Five Stars
Lost in the Shadows has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. I’ve been following Cody Leach since 2019, so when this podcast started I was excited to see what he and Chuck Shaughnessy would create together.
Through the show, I got introduced to Chuck’s work and quickly became a fan of him as well. Finding out afterward that Chuck is also from Pittsburgh was just a really cool connection and made me enjoy the podcast even more.
Both Cody and Chuck are incredibly knowledgeable about horror movies, and you can tell how much they genuinely love the genre and the work they put into creating content. Their passion comes through in every episode, and they’re constantly bringing great discussions, interesting insights, and awesome movie recommendations.
The chemistry between them makes every episode enjoyable, and this podcast has honestly become one of the brighter parts of my day. You can tell both guys love what they do, and that makes it even better to follow along.
Highly recommend giving Lost in the Shadows a listen — I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

Get rid of video
Either get rid of video, or fix the app. The app has been slow as hell ever since the video option, that nobody wants, was offered.
Needs some serious help, currently very dysfunctional
Typically this is a great app, but lately its so buggy - apps and shows wont play or even show up as existing. Please fix!
What happened to the sound
Since updating, the audio on the podcasts has sounded poor and tinny. Not sure why this happens so can you fix it please.

The auto play default next episode should not be an episode that I just listened too😡 Then when I “pull over” to open the app and switch to an episode that I actually want to listen to the episode that it was playing again displays as one that I’m currently “listening to,” not one that I’ve finished. Good grief!!!! And with the newest update it’s even more difficult to find the button to go back to the list of shows. And where on earth did you put the list of downloaded episodes?!

Always had issues
This app is really no better than any other podcast app, and it is definitely worse when you experience podcasts you were just listening not loading so you have to delete the app and redownload it over and over and over again. Lately, it’s been repeating the last 10 seconds every so often, it’s like a lightly scratched CD where it doesn’t stutter per se but it definitely will repeat the last 5-10 seconds every so often and this is on stable WiFi or 5g

I really hate this app
Impossible to close or stop a podcast playing in the car. Like a zombie it won't die. Once you've started it plays automatically and overrides other apps. Not only that it carries on with other random recommendations whether you want them or not. The navigation is terrible with no clear way to get to the episode list. There are far too many adverts that go on and on. Overall a nightmare.

Have to Switch
I have decided to stop using this app. Apple has started using AI to flag podcast content as “explicit,” and the algorithm is flagging as explicit content that is PG rated in movies or TV-14 for television. I don’t have to fight that battle on other apps.
