Please fix :(
I’d love a chance to try this out. If it doesn’t work, why is this app even available. I will change my rating if it’s fixed. Been trying to get it for work for years
What a Waste
I’ve used this app now for about four years. At first, the app worked ok. But because I used it primarily for Waze, it was fine. Over the years, I’ve seen this app go downhill. It takes forever to get an update when Apple updates their operating system. Then the app dropped Waze. The final straw was when I got a new phone, the app stopped working altogether. I’m never buying Pioneer again.

Soooo, my app was just updated. STILL DOESN’T WORK AT ALL! I still have a black screen and ithe app is useless.

So, time for the annual update, and time to update my review. Except there is absolutely no change. This app still doesn’t work and hasn’t in a long time. I STILL get nothing but a black screen, and that is with trying everything including going directly to a supported app and deleting/downloading the app again. Pioneer Audio should be embarrassed at the record they have with this app, but I guess they just don’t care.

Sph-da210
I’ve been trying to connect my iPhone 7plus to the sph-da210 but have not been successful in doing so, I follow all the instructions all the radio does is stay in black screen, apparently this is an issue that allot of people have(from what I have read on the internet). I have also bought the upgrade to some of the apps trying to see if that would help me connect but have been unsuccessful. I’ll be selling my pioneer stereo and going to a different brand.

Embarrassing to say the least...
I’ve tried every app every possible settings etc. and all I’ve been able to is wast a good amount of my time like honestly a combined week all together.. until they figure out what they are doing I wouldn’t download because the head unit is one of the best but it’s completely stops there everyone of there apps are garbage... please can we get something that’s usable you need to get a new development team as the ones you have must be working with the 80s Oregon trial apple computers that if they are a bunch of monkeys ya I think it’s monkeys ...

Crap
Paid over $500 for a receiver only to find over the next 6 months that pioneer doesn’t update the app and stopped support if Waze. Never buying another pioneer product again.

After update i can’t open waze i want a last version work good, i send a message but dont have a update to solve the bug fixes

Since the last update that pioneer app don’t support waze no more pioneer need to get there act together before they start losing customers I’m a long time buyer using there products I might have to switch to a different company there are cheaper options out there that have more features on the radios that work and don’t require downloading apps to make there apps work on there products so please pioneer listen to your customers and give us what we want

I downloaded the app after I bought a new stereo and non of the features work. I’m extremely frustrated with this
Terrible after update
It's not working at all after the update! Please fix. Now you have to launch individual apps from your phone because the app radio screen freezes.
Update*. You have to uninstall it and reinstall the new version for it to work again.
Please update this bad app, at least open the control feature that lets you control native apps on iPhone like waze does so we are not limited by your approved apps... Which is dismal and I'll end up buying a new radio at the rate your new compatible apps are released!!!
Update: again after iOS 12 update Waze auto locks and stops responding

Sluggish and phone must be on
Well this is a very buggy app. Portly made. I’m using it with my new 601ex. Waze often crashes whenever you touch the screen more than once consecutively. However the most annoying thing is the app must stay open on your phone in order for it to work. For that I might as well run it on my phone. Period

Working perfectly first try
I have an iPhone 6sPlus running iOS 11.4.
I just days ago had a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX installed in my 2001 Ford SuperDuty. Installer erroneously stated that the usb cable accessible via my glovebox was necessary for Apple CarPlay. Turns out CarPlay works just fine via Bluetooth.
But I want Waze as well as podcasts for my commute. So I studied the pdf manual and found this app.
Downloaded the app, plugged in the usb, and after allowing the Launch Through setting, Waze runs on the Pioneer with the podcast in a crawler on the bottom. An icon on the left end closes the crawler so that Waze takes up the entire display.

Does not work seamlessly
Got a 5050bt for the purpose of using waze with it. Was hoping it will work with CarPlay but bureaucracy is killing it and the users lose...Hope developers will update the app to make it work. I use an Iphone 8...everything works fine except for this app with waze....
Buggy, mostly useless
Has a hard time connecting. Takes multiple tries. The few times I got Waze to show up on the head unit display all I got was a static image. Utterly disappointed in the head unit and the pioneer brand. I spent good money for half assed integration.
Works for me
I have the iOS 11.2.6 iPhone X and everything including Waze works for me. I have the 2330 model. That said, I still like car play better. 5 stars because it works fine!
Pain in the rear end! (& I don’t mean trunk)
Whyyyy do you have to be connected via the lightening cable?!? I bought a Bluetooth radio so I wouldn’t *have* to be wired in!! 😡 AND this only adds connectivity to a VERY limited number of apps... so NOT WORTH the effort!
Hello? Fix???
It’s been almost 5 months since AppRadio became incompatible with iOS. We were promised a fix from Pioneer? Where is it? Or do I switch brands now because you can’t be trusted at your word...? Say it isn’t so, Pioneer.
Waze black screen
Please update for the current iOS! If I would have known this was going to be an issue, I would have purchase a radio that was current with technology. I’ve read a lot of these reviews and it’s been months since Pioneer made a update!
Waze does not work if you have iOS 11
If you have iOS 11 on your iPhone you will see a blank black screen on your car radio when you launch Waze on Pioneer AppRadio. This has been that way since September 2017. It is now January 2018 and there is no fix. 52% of all iPhones now run iOS 11 which means more than half the iPhone users cannot use this app to access Waze on their Pioneer radio screen. Please fix this Pioneer!!!!
