Route planner buggy
I’ve been Aquamaps user for a year. Been using it while doing Great Loop. Good thing about the app is it allows you to overlay other mapping sources like Army Corps of Engineers survey data on chart. Bad thing is that Route Planner is buggy and sometimes just won’t work. This is my second time reaching out to support. Hopefully it will get fixed one day and be able to complete with the other nautical chart apps.

Switched from Competing App
This App is great. I switched from Navionics as Aqua Map is much better value and it doesn't have the restrictive two device limit that Navionics has. I find the interface to be modern and easy to use and I haven't found any features I need missing. I'm happy to support this developer.

A section that was evidently uncharted in Georgian Bay caused me to run aground. I get that it was captain error, but still very frustrating. Other than that, the app got us half way around America’ Great Loop without incident.

Aqua map review
bought this app a few years ago when we bought our boat. Use it every time we go out in the boat and I must say it works for me. It has more data than I can figure out how to operate but with a pre planned rout, it gets me where we want to go! Would be lost with out it.
Good on a tablet or I-Pad
We use Aquamap on an I-Pad with an external GPS (Bad Elf). Works great and is easy to plan routes, up-date etc. I intended on using it as a supplement to our Garmin, but found I like the clarity, detail and size of the screen much better than the older Garmin unit we own. I now use it as our primary navigation plotter and the Garmin is now the backup & radar only. I can up-date Aquamap from my house using our wi-fi and can plan/enter routes while comfortably sitting in my living room, deck or anywhere. ‘Au Kai 25’ C-Dory

Great addition to charts
I have a Raymarine chart plotter that broke and a friend recommended aqua maps + it is affordable and no subscription traps, I like that active map with ais boats shown - I have loaded it on my tablet and phone
