Aqua map review

bought this app a few years ago when we bought our boat. Use it every time we go out in the boat and I must say it works for me. It has more data than I can figure out how to operate but with a pre planned rout, it gets me where we want to go! Would be lost with out it.

Good on a tablet or I-Pad

We use Aquamap on an I-Pad with an external GPS (Bad Elf). Works great and is easy to plan routes, up-date etc. I intended on using it as a supplement to our Garmin, but found I like the clarity, detail and size of the screen much better than the older Garmin unit we own. I now use it as our primary navigation plotter and the Garmin is now the backup & radar only. I can up-date Aquamap from my house using our wi-fi and can plan/enter routes while comfortably sitting in my living room, deck or anywhere. ‘Au Kai 25’ C-Dory

I have still not received a reply to the email user name address I sent on 4/07/2026. It is now 14/07/2026.
It is now 18/07/26, the only reason you communicated with me is because I copied another email in on my consistent requests. You have a major problem with your onboarding process! What email address did I give when I signed up?

Great addition to charts

I have a Raymarine chart plotter that broke and a friend recommended aqua maps + it is affordable and no subscription traps, I like that active map with ais boats shown - I have loaded it on my tablet and phone

Great map for Bahamas

I cruised the Bahamas by sailboat for the last six months and used Aqua Maps. It provided great intel on anchorages and safe routes. Pair this with your Navionics, and you have the perfect setup.

Boat Navigation

Aqua Map, the best app that I have used in over 30 years. It is great for travel in Canada and very good for travel in the USA. Easy to use and update with tons of information available when displaying the usage, data which keeps you safe!

We use it to train students in electronic navigation. I would suggest that this be your best backup system to use when boating after a current MFD.

Das abo wurde automatisch um 1 Jahr verlängert. Es wurden € 24,99
abgebucht. Ich hatte Die karten für die Niederlande und Belgien gekauft. Ich kann diese Käufe nicht wieder herstellen. 24,99 für nichts? Aqua Map hat scnell reagiert und mir geholfen. geht jetzt. Danke

From Top to Bottom

What was one of, if not, the best nav app, has decayed into one of, if not, the worst apps for marine navigation. I’ve used this app on multiple devices for many years. In just the last year the app has declined. It seems like every button click adds more cost. Then the glitches, with the new features, that just are not ready for prime time. Stop, the new features are not working. Stop, nickel and dimeing u to death.
