5 days
It’s been 5 days since installing the timer and so far no problems. It would be nice if the app looked more like the pics in the App Store which showed a graphic of the water heater and amount of hot water.
In control
I love the Aquanta, bc I can control the one thing that pulls the most energy from my home.
Works good
But needs to update so we can set more than 3 manual times. 4-5 would be a sweet spot. There is no reason to limit it to 3
Aquanta water heater controller
I have 2 of these products. 1 is on a solar water heater for the electric back up the other is on a lp gas water heater.both units work flawlessly allowing me to operate either unit remotely and to set schedules& temperature. I am also able to track usage which has helped me cut energy cost. Great product and super easy to use and install

Saves precious gas and money
This app is so good for the environment and your pocketbook. It's so easy to use: just put it on away mode when you leave for vacation or a weekend. At the same time indicate when you will be back and if either will turn back on when you get back home.
Water heater management
Stable reliable software manages water heater very well
Worst app ever
Stay away from this
Doesn’t maintain temp
I set the temp manually and frequently it does not cool or heat water to that temperature. At best average product

Love Aquanta; the app not so much— small print and no ability to zoom
Good app that could be better
I’ve had Aquanta for about 6yrs. I moved it with me to a new house. Overall good and def has saved some gas, money.
One feature I wish it had was a setting to incorporate the starting temperature, goal temperature, set time for reach goal temp and then determine when the tank needs to start heating. Obviously there would need to be learning and calibration curve. I’d like to set water for 120F at 0600 and for it to know that for the rate of heating that it will take xmins to do this.

Manual timer mode bug
Manual timer mode can leave 1 minute at 11:59 to midnight where timer let’s water heater run for a minute and then abruptly shuts heater down. Help desk of no help. Code fix needed.
Saves energy
We keep the water heater at 75 and use Alexa integration to boost the hot as needed. I have a second hot water tank setup in n a rental using their mid level of aggressive savings auto management. My local usage with boosting shows 1/3 of the energy savings. My only complaint is the Alexa integration requires too many steps.

Compliment
Overall, I am very satisfied with my Aquanta.
Good idea
Good idea but unless item.
Great product with outstanding technical support
Easy to install. App is intuitive. Was having issue with cold water sensor not reading correctly. Opened a ticket using main website. Tech support worked with me via email. After a couple of quick email rounds, tech support did a firmware update. Everything is fine now
Works as advised

poor instructions on app use
i have reached out for info on app use. So many questions. i wish they explained it use. no response from manufacturer. i have 2 gas heaters and Aquanta’s in tandem. I wish I could speak with someone and figure out how to install the sensors. I installed both per instructions but one hot water heater says no hot water available. Help!

Simple install & easy to use
The video explains everything in easy to understand terms. Very easy to install. Must allow longer than anticipated to sync to WiFi but once it does the app is simple.
Interesting app controlled device
I’ve had the Aquanta device a while and been running it a few months on the WH in my workshop. I like it. I run it 30 minutes in the morning and can boost if I need it. The app really needs some simple on/off controls. The away function is ok, but without linking to Smart Hubs (Alexa, Google, Apple, SmartThings, etc.) it’s often overlooked. Also, sell your leak detection device separately!
