Good apart for audio
Great app, good explanations although listen buttons don’t work, how can I fix this?
Great tool !
Works well (you must unmute your phone for the “listen” button to work). I like it a lot because I can read words the same way they are written in a real text (with all letters linked together). And there are a lot of practice exercises !
I’m an absolute beginner and I’m sure it’s gonna help me a lot in my arabic reading !

No functioning pronunciation examples
Currently the ‘listen’ buttons don’t work... makes it a bit useless - can they be updated?!
Great!!
Truly love this program. Great for beginners!! I wish they had more like this.

Great app
I couldn’t find better app!
A few annoying bugs
Overall, a very nice app aside from a few bugs:
- progress does not persist between sessions. There are only 13 lessons so it's not too difficult to remember where you left off, but still a bother
- as another reviewer mentioned, the sound does not work unless headphones are used
Edit for developer response: no, that does not stick when opening and closing app or sometimes even when leaving the app open

Response from developer
You should be able to swipe across the lesson title in the lessons menu, to mark it as complete. Does that tick not stay when you open and close the app?
Sound doesn't work
Cannot hear the pronunciations on this app
Response from developer
Please make sure your phone is not on silent. The audio won't play if it is. I know it sounds obvious but others have made this mistake.
Well thought out
I frequently refer to this app when I use it in conjunction with Memrise.
Easy to use
Easy, great for beginners.
Very helpful
This app makes learning the alphabet quite easy. It is clear, aesthetically pleasing and the flashcards and quizzes are so helpful.
Very smooth
This is a simple way to learn to read Arabic phonetically. In the course of the lessons you go from admiring pretty squiggles to being able to sound out Arabic words. The interface is really easy to use, and the course has audio, too. As the author says, it's not a vocabulary course, but when you're done you will be able to recognize names of people and countries, and words like hijab and halal.
I hope in future versions there will be one page that shows the whole alphabet in order so we can 1. learn the recitation order and 2. look up what a particular squiggle is when we forget one. I would pay for an elementary grammar course of this quality.
Follow the Facebook feed for more practice words. It is spam-free.

Arabic reading course
Found this really helpful. Well explained and easy to use.
Useful
This is a genuinely useful app. Just hope I have the will power to stick with it and get through all the lessons. What would make it even better is if it did voice recognition to tell you if you were pronouncing right. You kind of have to mark yourself on whether you got it right.
Excellent for beginners to reading Arabic
Great simple program that is great for a supplement to other programs or classes. There are free programs that give you the letters in their simple forms, but the letters sound different in words and this program helped me greatly when learning to read Arabic.
The only 'complaint' that I have is that the words used as examples are often irrelevant words that would never be used by a speaker learning letter sounds. That being said, they seemed to really try using words with only the letters learned according to the progress made in the program.

Lots of detail and tests
I've downloaded a lot of apps for learning Arabic but this is one of the best. It's so much more in-depth.
Good idea
Great app, by far the most effective technique I've tried to learn the alphabet, using application to help memorize the pronunciation and reading of words
Great app
I'd already learnt the alphabet a couple of years ago but the tests in this app were really useful for revising after I got a bit rusty.
Brilliant
Really useful app, very good for learning Arabic!
Glad I found this!
