This is exactly what I needed!
I have a few bookmarks on my phone that take me to a few subreddits that I want to see and NOT comment on and Reddit has made it increasingly hard to do that, constantly pushing their terrible default Reddit app pushing me to make an account.
This app lets me follow whatever subreddits I want. Apparently, I can even make multireddits. There is an option to turn off comments if you’re prone to doomscrolling comment sections. There is an option to mute users, SOURCES, and keywords. All of this without signing up for ANYTHING.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes using Reddit for information, but want to keep their info private and/or avoid getting bogged down in comment sections.

Awesome!
Great app! A very worthy Apollo successor and no login required. Only bug I’ve found is that for posts with both media and text, it only shows the media and no text, leaving out crucial context of the post. Hope that can get fixed soon!
Great Reddit Alternative
I need Reddit with guardrails, as I get easily pulled into other subs and end up doom scrolling. I decided before deleting Reddit altogether I would explore alternatives.
This is a great alternative and I was able to tailor my subs to exactly what I want to see with no distractions. I think it has a lot of potential and I appreciate the additional consideration of keeping my data private - a rarity these days!
Just a couple of suggestions to make it more perfect- please add settings to prevent videos from auto-playing. I rarely watch videos and they auto play full blast.
Also I recommend not having subs pre-selected at installation - I had to go through and find all of them and uncheck them which wasn’t a great experience.
I’ll keep using this and scroll past videos for now but hopefully that gets updated soon!

Nearly Perfect
This app is quite literally the best, minus for viewing media and a few tiny QoL issues. See here:
- When viewing a video, you’re unable to easily swipe to the next post in the feed; Reddit recently fixed this and broke it again. When watching multiple sources and takes on things that are complex like the financial markets, geopolitical stuff, etc, this is an awful pain in the bottom.
- If the video is an embed or from a non-prohibited external source, instead of being able to play via the embed, you click play and it takes you to the source site. There are many hosts that embed directly in to the official reddit app.
It’s easily a 5 star app from me, but that needs to be fixed. It would ideally be nice to be able to search keywords and scroll posts from multiple subreddits though. The “multireddit” feature fully makes up for it though, but of course it only supports subs you add specifically.
Good job dev. Keep it up. Would love to see these fixes, as I don’t even have the actual Reddit app installed anymore and prefer this one by miles.
EDIT: Saw someone else mention the ability to toggle a setting to hide “seen” posts. That would indeed be really nice. Should be easy to exclude certain posts, and always see the toggle on/off or at least be able to select a “hidden posts” tab at the top of each sub, or something.
Also, autoplay would be cool assuming you implement proper media controls and allow for scrolling post to post with the media selected and playing.
Finally, a robust “favorites/reading list/bookmark” implementation would be supreme.

Just needs the ability to search within a subreddit.
Needs more text sizing controls
Text in main feed is too small, need more size option and thumbnail layout size/position would be great also Other than that app would get 5 stars

FYI the app respects your device text scaling settings. You can set per-app overrides for this setting if the size is too small.

Yeah, unfortunately Reddit’s read-only API can be a little flakey. The latest version has some improved data handling and retry logic. Hopefully this helps but it is possible that your IP is blocked.

I stopped using Reddit regularly after Apollo was taken down. This app got me back in.
Better than the official app
A less than 50MB app runs better than the official Reddit app, doesn’t require your data or login and has no ads; all while looking good and being surprisingly feature packed and customizable. What more could you ask for?
