About

Aris Training is the app for the ArisPro, the resistance training machine that measures every rep of a sprint, a jump or an agility drill. To use it you need an ArisPro and an Aris Portal account, which you or your program sets up at portal.aristraining.com. Connect to the machine The app talks to the ArisPro over the machine's own Wi-Fi network, or over Bluetooth on newer machines. It remembers the machines you use, so each new session starts with a tap on the one in front of you. Run a drill Choose from five categories: Speed, Agility, Vertical, Horizontal and Freestyle. Set the reps and the resistance, and start. The app counts each rep as the machine measures it, and you can pause or stop at any point. See every rep When the drill ends, the report puts every rep side by side, with its time, distance and power, the top speed, and the height of each jump. Add a note on how it went, for you and your coach to read later. Train a team Coaches and program admins can run a session for a team or group from one phone. Choose who each drill is for, and it is saved to the athlete who did the work. Keep the record Every drill is saved on the phone as it happens, so a session on the machine's Wi-Fi, which has no internet, is kept until the phone is back online. Then it goes to the Aris Portal, where athletes follow their own progress and coaches run their program. The Reports screen on the phone lists the sessions it recorded. Keep the machine up to date The app can update the ArisPro's software, and on newer machines coaches can calibrate its resistance with a force gauge. Your data There are no ads and no tracking. The app asks for location access for one reason: a phone tells an app the name of its Wi-Fi network only if the app has that access, and the app uses the name to find the ArisPro's network. It never records where you are. If you choose Bluetooth in Account, the app asks for Bluetooth access too, and uses it only to reach the machine. You can delete your account in the app, under Account, or at portal.aristraining.com/delete-account. Questions go to support@aristraining.com.
