About

arrive shares one thing: the number of minutes until you get there. Not your position on a map. Not a moving dot someone can watch. Not a trail of where you've been. One number, and a link to see it. HOW IT WORKS Pick a destination, choose how you're travelling, tap Go. arrive creates a link and opens the share sheet. Send it to whoever is waiting. They open it and see your name, the minutes, and a thin progress bar. Nothing else. No app required — it works in any browser. The link expires by itself after three hours. Sixty seconds after you arrive, it's gone. YOUR LOCATION STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE This is the whole point, so it's worth being precise about it. Your iPhone measures where you are and works out how long is left. Only the result leaves the device: your name, the remaining minutes, the planned total, whether you're moving or stopped, how you're travelling, and how much time you've lost. Six values. No coordinates, no route, no address — not even the distance, because distance plus destination plus time would give away your position. THE NUMBER NEVER JUMPS A number that leaps around is worse than no number. arrive smooths what it shows and never lets it rise by more than 30 seconds at a time. Stopped at a red light? The number holds steady instead of ballooning. Stuck for real? The delay grows — but the person waiting never learns why. No place names, no categories, no "stopped at a petrol station". CAR, WALKING, OR TRANSIT Every sensible option is calculated at once and shown side by side with its time. For public transport the departure is shown too — because "208 min" looks broken until you see that the next train leaves at 04:26. Where a station is nearby, arrive also offers driving to it and continuing from there. LIVE ACTIVITY While you travel, the countdown sits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. You don't have to keep the app open. WHAT ARRIVE WILL NEVER DO No accounts. No login. No friends list. No history. No analytics — not even "anonymous" ones. No advertising. No notification when someone arrives. No map for the person waiting. The download isn't rewarded with more data. It's rewarded with less effort.

Ride a bike Cycling is now one of the options, with real bike routes — not a guess based on walking. It appears where it actually helps, between 400 m and 20 km. Search for an address Dragging a map is fine at home. In a city you don't know, it isn't. Tap the address line above the travel options and type where you're going — the map flies there and the pin lands on it. Share the link again The share sheet used to appear once, right after you tapped Go. Miss it and the link was gone. Now the line that mentions the link shares it, any time. All your places, not just three The home screen shows every place you've saved. Swipe to delete or pin, press and hold to rename. The link lives as long as the trip It used to expire after three hours, even if you were still on your way. Now it lasts for the journey plus an hour — and still dies by itself afterwards. A number you can trust Waiting for a train no longer counts as being late. Walking no longer freezes the countdown after a red light. A single bad GPS reading can no longer end a trip early. And public transport options you can't realistically take are gone. Your location still never leaves your iPhone.
