Soooo slow and buggy
I rarely give bad reviews but this app is so slow and buggy it’s unusable.
What?
I downloaded this app with hopes to be able to edit my photo album easier than on safari on my phone but it isn’t an option to do on the app? I’m confused. Also it takes you to safari to look at other albums. I’m just confused so I guess I will be deleting this app unfortunately since it’s pointless to me.

Place order button broken
I love that I can upload high res photos to the app to purchase prints however when I get to check out the “place order” button doesn’t work. I’ve yet to hear from customer support.
Basically pointless
The app does not communicate with the account projects stored on the web version and renders itself basically useless. Beyond frustrating.
Can’t even login and doesn’t scale for Ipad
This app doesn’t support single sign on like the website does so I can’t even login to my account and the app isn’t scaled for use on iPad. Opening it on this device just gives you the phone dimensions so you can’t use your full screen. Huge missed opportunity. Disappointing because I was hoping this would a smoother experience than editing in Safari.

Useless
I don’t know why the avg is 4.5 stars. I’m mainly writing so a recent review pops up since the main ones were from 8years ago when I downloaded. I downloaded the app because surely an interface like this would run smoother on a set app vs safari on mobile. I wanted to add photos from my phone to albums for my ongoing projects. Seamless transition to work on the project on the computer later. Nope. That simple function doesn’t exist in this app. I also can’t see my current projects within the app. Half the menu items take you to a safari popup so there’s actually no use for the app. Sad but I guess I’ll just save the space on my phone by deleting the app and just use the website in safari to upload my photos and edit on the computer. This isn’t difficult developers, so many other photo companies have this part down.
My app review has nothing to do with the company or their products. I love the books I’ve received. This is purely about the apps lacking capabilities.

App continually freezes
I can’t make any products because the screen keeps freezing and I can’t do anything.
Impossible to build a photo book
For some reason the pictures access is only restricted to a narrow subset of photos on my phone. I’ve tried to build a story book 8 times now and I’ve now given up.
Given up on order because app keeps crashing
I’ve literally tried to create five different orders now. Your app and website are so full of bugs it is ridiculously difficult to use.
Great photos, but hard to download
I have a really hard time downing photos
Love the product but make it easier to do!!!
First of all, on their site my account is connected to my Gmail. For some reason the app doesn’t let you do the same so I spent 10 minutes just trying to reset my password so I could login. Then I can’t access my projects from the site so that was all for nothing. It would also be great to be able to upload photos from my photo album and not just Instagram. Why don’t the site and app talk to each other??! It’s such a waste of an app.

No galleries
I downloaded to be able to more easily edit large galleries, but that feature doesn’t exist. The app has significantly less functionality than the website
Useless
One would think this would be a good app to upload your photos from your phone and create some nice prints. This app offers nothing of the sort, just click bait to take you to their website. Absolute waste of time.

This app will not accept my pictures. I paid for the service of guided layouts and was never contacted. Now it says I have no orders. It’s a complete rip off
Amazing Product but challenging app
Once you add one round of pictures, it’s impossible to add more. Utilizing the website is better on a computer. Love the product just need a better user friendly app.
Glitchy Experience with Slowness
The product quality on these is great but actually making them is very painful. The app freezes and doesn’t move fast. You sometimes lose your work and it’s slow to navigate.

I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 18.2.1.
First, the app is broken.
• “my orders” button does not work even after closing and relaunching, even after deleting and reinstalling the app
• ironically, if not strategically, given the app’s problems - of which the devs must be fully aware - the “rate the app” button also does nothing
Meanwhile even if these features actually worked, the app only offers a partial inventory of AU’s products so most of the time you’ll need to abandon it and use the website instead. Not sure what the strategy is, there, but it seems pretty ill-considered, especially in 2025 and with so much competition in the photo/printing/framing spaces.
AU I know you can do a lot better than this and your users would be happy if you did!

Useless App
The app is terrible!! Hard to use, so glitchy and worthless. Had to do everything online but wish the app was convenient or even feasible to use.

No projects available. Can’t upload photos from iPhone. What is th point?
Incredible Branding, Mediocre for the Price
Artifact Uprising knows how to market themselves, but they fall short in several areas - this app being a big one. Their app is unusable and has very limited product options. If you want to access most of their products, you have to design through their website, making this app useless. The majority of people are using their phones instead of computers these days, so they really should fix this issue, or else their customers will go to competitors that have an easier user interface.
