Inaccurate
Wouldn't waste your time with this. Said my daughter had low likelihood of autism which I doubted. She's been diagnosed autistic now aged 5.

You couldn’t pick a dob prior to today’s date and they send spam emails.

What a great resource. Such an incredible and useful tool that is doing such great work in helping early diagnosis of autism in presenting children. Easy to use interface. Highly recommended.
Great idea! Still a few bugs to iron out…
A great and needed tool to help families with children under 2.5yrs who want to screen for signs of autism using a validated questionnaire. I was able to register, enter my child’s details and complete the screening. I felt the screening result was accurate. Two bugs I noticed: the “forgot password” feature isn’t working - it doesn’t actually send a password reset email. I tried several times. I got around this by registering again but with a different email address. The other bug was some of the links to websites are broken. I hope you manage to iron things out as something like this is needed out there for families. If there were the option to complete it annonymously I’m sure even more people would use it.

Useless
Unable to set my child’s age it just keeps resetting

Oh yeah…I thought there would be a Q&A to help you see where your child is in comparison. Wrong. Don’t bother. No hello here.
Date of birth
It won’t let me put in an age for a child over 30 months of age and I couldn’t figure out how to change this. Therefore I could not use it as a diagnostic tool for my 9 year old.
Great concept but can’t find a way to log in
Can’t find a way to create an account or log in.
App issues
I can certainly see the great potential for this app however it does not allow me to select the correct date of birth for the child so the questions asked are not applicable.

Have signed up but it won’t let you enter correct birthdate - it keeps spinning off what you choose
Review
It is a spectrum for a reason. My son came up with low likelihood and is L2 ASD. He has a desire for social engagement but isn’t great at it. He makes eye contact and gestures but his autism affects his literal use of language and being able to contextually construct stories and sequence things. His a very typical markers but it isn’t always black and white. However, the quality of the videos are fantastic.

App fine, content only partly helpful.
This app worked fine (although I didn’t use the videos), but it’s useless for identifying girls on the spectrum who don’t fit the “classic presentation”. Fine for boys (and girls) who are showing those typical textbook signs, but not the girls (and boys) who are exceptional maskers and have the often overlooked “girl” presentation of ASD.

Great tool but no volume
Same issue as reviewer from below. I find this a great helpful tool and appreciate so much research behind it, however there is no sound on the videos. Nevertheless without the sound still helpful
Amazing app
I downloaded the app few days ago and I can assure that the quality of the videos impressed me. the information is very clear. It took me to another level of understanding how a neurotipical and Neuroatipical children play. Thanks.
Frustrating
Will not let me enter anything earlier than 2018 as the year of birth & my son was born in 2014.
So the questions I was asked did not apply to him.
I ended up wasting my time trying to change the date of birth & getting frustrated.

Good for boys
This app is skewed towards males. Is not relevant/needs to be updated to reflect females on the spectrum
Issues with videos
Unfortunately the videos are not much help because the volume does not work.

Hi PerthMuso, all our videos are narrated by Dr. Barbaro explaining the key behaviours for you to watch for - we are not entirely sure why the audio doesn't appear to be working for you, however. you can always direct a question to the ask@asdtect.org email, and one of our team can help you troubleshoot the issue.
I can’t get past registration
I keep trying to use the app- but it won’t show me any countries to select and can’t progress without this!
Repeated login issues
This is a really useful tool, however I keep having login issues (despite resetting password etc). Cannot view the results.
Amazingly useful
We parents of children with ASD need more of these!
