Greed disguised as cloud security is holding my pool data hostage
Imagine spending thousands on premium physical hardware, only for the company to wait until you're locked into their ecosystem to hold your basic app features hostage behind a paywall.
Their corporate excuse is that they need a subscription model to "invest in secure data protection" and "modern cloud infrastructure." Give me a break. It's a pool monitor. You can’t even change the pool setting’s from the app. Nobody is trying to hack my 7.4 pH reading, and I don’t need military-grade cloud encryption to check if my water is 28°C. The idea that my pool temperature requires a high-maintenance, enterprise-level cloud security budget is completely ridiculous and pointless.
This is a textbook anti-customer move. They are cutting off basic remote functionality just to extract forced recurring revenue from people who already paid for the product. If you haven't bought into Aseko yet, stay far away—look for a provider that doesn't change the financial rules of the game after they already have your money.

Spoplatnenie pre zákazníkov ktorí už produkt majú zakúpený
Tento spôsob je veľmi nefér kedy zákazník kupuje produkt s tým že možnosť vzdialeného prístupu je v cene produktu a po roku a pol má za to platiť. Ak by som to vedel zvážil by som zakúpenie Vašich zariadení.
Predplatné aplikácie
Aplikácia fungovala fajn, zobrazovala podstatné informácie, kým sa vývojári nerozhodli pridať predplatné do aplikácie. Samotný filtračný systém aseko je sám o sebe dosť drahý a príde mi trochu nefér si od zákazníka pýtať peniaze ešte v aplikácii.
Bez objednania predplatného nefunkčné
Bravó Aseko, keď som si vyberal a kupoval vaše zariadenie, tak významne zavážila bezplatná aplikácia. Od dnes to neplatí, za sezónu to je 24,99 €, stačilo si aktualizovať aplikáciu 🤮
Subscription
The update made it so that even regular viewing of the app requires a subscription. Pretty big fail, I buy a device and you want to pay for an app that I can't do anything in 🤦♂️
