Introducing event routes, with flexible route planning, faster loading, and better access to previously loaded content when offline. Route Editor - Create and edit street-snapped routes directly within your events. - Choose a start and destination, or build a loop or out-and-back route. - Drag the route onto different streets and paths to customize your course. - Move start, finish, and turnaround points directly on the map, with location details updated automatically. - Add checkpoints with custom labels and icons to mark water stops, meetup spots, and other useful places along the route. - See route mileage calculated automatically as you make changes. - Reverse loop direction and follow directional arrows along the route. - Preview event routes on an interactive map, including their checkpoints. - Export event routes as GPX files for use in compatible GPS apps. - Use an automatically generated route image when an event doesn’t have a custom photo. General App Updates - Updated friend-code invite confirmations to show the user’s profile photo and name while keeping their email address hidden. - Explore now prioritizes clubs and events near your location, helping you find your next community or meetup closer to home. - Keep scrolling to discover more clubs and events farther away, with results loading automatically as you browse. - Added further safeguards during sign-up to help prevent duplicate accounts. - Improved event creation and editing for a smoother planning experience. - Improved image loading and caching to reduce repeated loading. - Improved how the app exchanges data with the backend, reducing repeated requests and unnecessary updates. - Expanded caching for club feeds, member profiles, event discussions, and attendee lists to make returning to previously viewed content quicker. - Load conversations in smaller batches, with earlier messages available as needed for a faster initial load. - Keep previously loaded club and event content visible when your internet connection drops or an update cannot be retrieved. New content and actions that require a connection remain available once you’re back online. - Added clearer loading feedback during actions to help prevent repeated taps. - Added a version gate for future releases. When an update is required, the app will let you know which version you need to install to continue using Athletics Department.
