Can’t turn off the auto play function, very disruptive and disrespectful

Too many constant obnoxious alerts like that’s all I have to do is grab my phone to see what you’re saying this minute. All I want is weather alerts that pertain to me and my location about imminent or dangerous weather conditions. I don’t need all this other junk.

Why? Because all this app does is put up a full screen advertisement that doesn't allow the user to actually access news articles. All this app is intended for is advertising, and data collecting on users. It's really sad to think that this is supposed to be a community helping those who live in the community but instead it's just another app intended to collect data on a users, with no care for those users. This app doesn't deserve to be on any devices. DELETE.

Forced advertising with no controls
The ANF site has been very good until just a few weeks ago. They have made changes and you are forced to watch the start of and advertisement but allowed to skip it at a point.
However you proceed to the actual news story and it pops up a window playing clips from one of their Monica Kaufman interviews - and you cannot mute it or stop it.
Very soon I will abandon this news source if they don’t revert back some of their forced ad content.

What happened??
This was my go to app for local news and now I have to sit and wait for the advertisement to finish before I can even open the app and all the pop up ads are just plain aggravating.
Was great. Now annoying.
This was a very good news app until they added ads with sound, often quite loud! Ads are understandable but the sound? No.

Now when you open the app it will only display an ad. No option to close it so you can see the actual news.
I'm culpable
When you first appeared on the Atlanta scene and gave like at least seven updates of the weather each day I paid a lot of attention because the weather here is so iffy but now I'm infuriated this weekend forecast as being rainy most of the weekend this 3 to 4 day holiday weekend Labor Day weekend 2025 and it hasn't rained at all in fact the weather has been quite nice except for some humidity which is normal for this time of year maybe you should just send that one alert/day and leave it at that unless there's a threat of something tangibly terrible! Hmm?

New Changes BAD!
On Aug 16 the new format rolled out and app performance is disappointing. I get only a black screen or the spinning wheel when opening app. Must restart my Apple TV or delete/reinstall app to get it working.

I mean, Gurvina, Ella, Courtney, Rodney, Brooks, Rick, Don, and Patrick are still gonna talk to me.
I had some weather at my house and. I. Could. Not. Get. A. Single. Video. To. Load. I tried watch live, I tried first alert weather, and I tried news, and none of them worked. By the time I futzed with that, the weather had slacked off. So… ANF F this app. WSB wins until Ella tells me the app is fixed and reliable.

ANF really is 1st!!
My husband and son are both Police officers at a city just outside of ATL and I pick on them sometimes bc I get notifications from ANF before they get notified by dispatch. ANF really is 1st most of the time to get the latest news and weather reports!!
Locked screen
Many other news apps works during a Lock Screen. Please fix its annoying that I have to open up my phone every single time.
Full screen not working
The button that allows you to view the video in full screen is not working. I am trying to view the weather forecast videos in full screen. When I click the full screen button nothing happens. However, when I view the same video using the web browser on my iPad, it works fine.
Dark mode needed
While it’s good, but needs to be in dark mode

Waste of Time
This app is a complete waste of time. I can’t count the number of times I’ve received ‘alerts’ that are completely ridiculous and never come to pass. Gotta be a better app!

Your anchor said I could find where I could vote early but all that was listed was the Atlanta locations.
What about Cobb locations? If you don’t want to list Cobb, which is in your viewing area, then I will change channels and watch another news station that does.
